so i built a Lazav,Dimir Mastermind deck because I didn't have a dimir deck yet and I thought a mill strategy could be fun. As it turns out, the site thinks it isn't even a little competitive. 100% casual infact. Not that the way the site analyzes decks is completely accurate, But still! Ha! Thats just an insult. I admit it is a work in progress but if anyone can offer a little help it would be much appreciated! maybe an upvote if you disagree with the sites analysis? heres the list: Mill, Mill, Mill for a Million
Thanks for your time.
As DrukenReaps stated, the only thing you're doing wrong is paying attention to the competitive meter.

There are a few competitive cards in your deck. That being said, this is definitely not a competitive deck. Mill is not a very strong strategy vs most competitive decks unless that mill is something that sends it straight to exile. Many decks have ways to abuse the graveyard or even an eldrazi titan to reshuffle. You aren't doing anything wrong per say, but even though the cards in here aren't all casual this is still definitely a casual deck overall.

DrukenReaps & enpc, You guys are right; that is my mistake. Damn thing makes 0 sense. Did you guys bother to check out the deck? How does it even determine it anyway, I wonder.

I 100% agree, GhostChieftain. Thanks for your imput. I'd probably have an eldrazi Titan in the deck, thing is, I only have the new ones and they don't Shuffle into your library like the old ones. Sucks.

I was just stating those as reasons to why mill isn't that strong usually.

Seriously, what's wrong with not being competitive??

I cant remember the name of it but a guy on here made a 100% competetive deck that is useless and does nothing, just a bunch of expensive cards used from other decks as an example of how silly the meter is. Ive also had the competetive meter drop or raise depending on the printing for some crazy reason.

As someone who plays competitively and casually, there's nothing wrong with a deck being labeled as casual. But as most people have stated here, don't pay attention to the competitive meter. I wish I could disable it to be completely honest.
For reference, my casual Kadena list is flagged as 100% competitive while my optimized cEDH Yisan list says that it's 93% competitive. I'm not sure what data warrants those results, but I can't rationally agree that it's accurate whatsoever.

i think the site just has a rating of how competive each card is and then has some sort of "weighted" analysis

It likely compiles data based on price and mana curve tbh. A high price and low mana curve probably results in a higher competitive rating

What you are doing wrong is putting any stock whatsoever in the competitive meter. Changing a printing can move the meter, it is inaccurate. Mill isn't competitively viable at all anyway, so 100% casual seems about right. People also need to get over the idea that "casual" means "bad".

Hey WUBRG87 just wanted to let you know you tagged someone elses deck not your cammanders card You will have to identify wether its a card or deck in the tag the name will get a hyphen and some numbers to specificly identify it if its a deck other wise just put [card: blah blah blah].

I pay exactly 0% attention to the competitive meter. It is silly and called my kaalia apostle deck 100% competitive...
