If you are running blue in your deck, mayhaps should you probably almost always run Archmage's Charm . You know, because Sol Ring theft is fun?

If it's a mono blue deck I think the Charm is a card that has a lot of merit.

If it's a deck with blue as well as a number of other colors it might be more difficult to accommodate it's mana cost.

In any case this is a card with a ton of applications and flexibility.

It can provide a way to dig.

It can be a piece of universal interaction when used as permission.

It can steal opposing mana rocks, dorks, combo pieces, and my personal favorite: Mystic Remora.

It can also be a win condition on a loop as continuously casting it and forcing opponents to draw out wins the match.

And in a pinch it can sometimes be used as defense against Lab Man style strategies to force the opponent casting Lab Man to draw on an empty library before the Lab Man resolves.

The card is essentially a more versatile version of what Dack Fayden does for many EDH decks and is worth considering devoting a card slot to for decks that can manage to reliably cast it.

I saw it steal my Sol Ring in two separate games last night in an Izzet deck. It's powerful fosho

Mono-blue and blue-based decks (2-3 colors) in a non-cEDH scene might find some use for it.

@ SynergyBuild It's perfectly viable as a card choice for mono blue decks in cEDH as it's essentially Dack Fayden, but better.

Sorry, jaymc1130, I meant:

"Mono-blue" AND "blue-based decks (2-3 colors) in a non-cEDH scene", not:

"Mono-blue and blue-based decks (2-3 colors)" in a non-cEDH scene.

I can see the confusion.
