Atla Palani or Ghave ???

Ok Friends,

I want to build another cEDH Deck. I really like Saprolings, but I also really like Big Creatures.

Soooo...should I rather build an Atla Palani Deck with lots of useful big creatures that can help me win or somewhat lock down the board to prevent me from losing

OR

should I build a Ghave Deck with lots of token Generators, Doublers and pump spells to flood the bkard and overrun my opponents???

I like RWG because those are the colors of my home country, but I also like the idea of having WGB as a metaphor for Life, Growth and Death.

I know it kinda seems silly, but flavor and feeling are very important to me whan building a deck and spending actual money on it.

Maybe any Input from you guys could help me decide.

Thanks^^

I think Ghave may be better to build since Atla is still just off the high of the 2019 commander release and may be hard to build around with the market still having some of her cards jacked up in price. Also just on a whole I feel like I see less and less older commanders leading decks lately so I think a Ghave deck could be more fun because of that.

Ghave is great, so many different ways to build/play it that can all be successful. You also get all the best removal in WBG.

Theres nothing like the feeling of sitting behind Ghave, Guru of Spores , Grave Pact , Aura Shards , and Woodfall Primus . Go ahead, play something.

Atla Palani just has her "combo" built into her - just play big creatures in the deck and you get them for free. Naya has a lot of disruption tools to help her as well. Also, it is probably the best deck for Mayael's Aria , better than Mayael the Anima .

Ghave is just a control deck where you do not play blue.

You say you want it to be cEDH. But you also care about flavor? Those two things seem like polar opposites. But that's besides the point. My vote is for ghave it's a proven deck. Theres a boat load of combos that go infinite with it. I have an atla deck and it's fun but it doesn't seem like it could ever be tuned to a true cEDH deck

Atla Shuffle Panini is a real deal cEDH deck.

Ghave is good too, but I personally have never been a big fan of it.

Thanks guys, very informative input, but I still can't really decide. You are all making good points. I think I'll build both of them online and playtest them a while to see which one I like best.
