I originally was not running graveyard hate, but after playing in a new meta I realized that there was a good amount of people playing Meren of Clan Nel Toth and Karador, Ghost Chieftain decks. I run a voltron deck so players repeatedly reanimating cards like Spore Frog and Caustic Caterpillar really hurts. My question to you is what do you believe are the best graveyard hate cards for G/W that don't affect your own graveyard?

Thanks!

Rest in Peace to neuter the whole yard, Angel of Finality same effect as a Bojuka Bog but you get a 3/4 flier, Stonecloaker is my personal favorite for repeated spot removal. Another good one is Grafdigger's Cage as well. Low cost super fast, and can just lock an opponent out of the game early on.

Scavenging Ooze is pretty good.

That's probably what I was going to choose. Gains life, gets counters, is one-sided, and is a Green Sun's Zenith target.

Out of those options I'm probably going to go with Grafdigger's Cage or Scavenging Ooze. Opinions on which one is better?

Well, here's something to keep in mind...If you are running Enlightened Tutor and any creature tutor (which you should be), I would say Grafdigger's Cage hurts your deck a bit if you are running any of these types of cards: Chord of Calling, Birthing Pod, Karmic Guide, Reveillark, Sun Titan, Green Sun's Zenith, etc... So I would almost just recommend Tormod's Crypt or Angel of Finality or Stonecloaker. These cards don't mess with your graveyard and can be easily tutored up with Enlightened Tutor or Worldly Tutor/Chord of Calling/Birthing Pod/Survival of the Fittest/Eladamri's Call/Congregation at Dawn type cards. Which allows you to have more consistency of finding those type of "hate" cards against those type of opponents. Plus graveyard hate is always good to have in any meta because most good EDH decks play some amount of recursion.

@Wizno: Kaliatas cannot be played in G/W.

@UpperDeckerTaco: I'm running creature tutors, but none that put them into play from the deck or graveyard. I was thinking about GSZ, but I would not include it if I played Grafdigger's Cage. I am not looking for cards with ETB triggers because they get hosed by Torpor Orb and Hushwing Gryff which are both in my list. This is why I am deciding between the Scavenging Ooze and Grafdigger's Cage.

Everyone is missing the big one here, Containment Priest, instant speed and hits a million and a half things as well.

Thanks for catching my brainfart there JaceTheSwagSculptor! Have you considered, It That Betrays? Totally wrecked my reanimator deck.

Containment Priest dose help vs Karador. It helps vs alot, a good multi tool card.

Scavenging Ooze is probobly the best grave hate for GW.

lot of good mentions above....but my personal fav for G/W hasn't been mentioned;

Wheel of Sun and Moon

not as permanent of a remove as rest in peace or scavenging ooze but still pretty funny...

Night Soil is decent for making chump blockers while eating creature out of yards though it does have to hit in two's...

November 30, 2016 6:30 a.m.

@joshuaizac: Hmmm...those are both really limited. Night Soil can only target creatures and there needs to be 2, while Wheel of Sun and Moon only applies the effect to one player.

Relic of Progenitus, anyone? Sure it's not great, but it's got a sweeper option in case things go bad.

Phyrexian Furnace might also be good.

I went with Scavenging Ooze. Thanks for the suggestions!

@AlexoBn: I think you missed the part where I specified G/W. Nonetheless, Samurai of the Pale Curtain is a pretty neat card that I did not know about.
