Deck Idea: Cheating in Creatures help
Commander (EDH) forum

I have tossed the idea around of an edh deck that would have ways of cheating in creatures such as Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, or other huge creatures. What cards are out there that allow me to efficiently do this? What commanders are good choices for this type of deck? I really don't care what color this is in. Are there other ways to get these creatures out asp?

Braids, Conjurer Adept and Jhoira of the Ghitu are probably the quickest ways.

Quicksilver Amulet and Cryptic Gateway come to mind right away.

M a g i c a l H a c k e r I looked around at your decks, and I saw your Jalira, Master Polymorphist. It gave me the idea of running a control deck with artifacts and lands producing tokens. Then using Jaliras ability to cheat cards on turn 5-6 like Pathrazer of Ulamog, It That Betrays,Artisan of Kozilek and Ulamog's Crusher etc. Then having a control backshell to protect these creatures. Would this idea work?

Why would you want to cheat in an Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre? The cast trigger is super relevant. Same with all the big eldrazi. Easy solution - build a deck to ramp really hard. Mono green or mono black and then just hard cast them since you're hitting the mana you need on turn 6. It also means that in general you will have a lot of mana.
Captain Sisay is another really good option - she can tutor for all of your big eldrazi (and short of Blightsteel Colossus, what else do you need?) and depending on how much cash you're happy to drop can get cards like Gaea's Cradle which will in turn help ramp into big fatties.

enpc Only problem is that a lot of these huge ramp decks is that they sot a lot of money. As my budget is $150 as I failed to mention, I mentioned Ulamog because he is not that expensive anymore with him being reprinted. Plus I find huge ramp decks predictable of your opponent sees you ramping for 11-12 mana by turn 5.

_Sinistar_: The cost is determined by the level of play to some extent. My girlfriend runs a Captain Sisay deck that IS close to $2K yes, however this is not specifically becuase of the ramp package. The main exception to that statement though is the Gaea's Cradle which I appreciate its your entire budget right there.
And yes, huge ramp decks are predicatble in that you lay your hand on the table however the second I see a Quicksilver Amulet get played I've got the same kind of reaction. And Jhiora of the Ghitu will pull hate like nothing else. Not to mention if youre deck is designed to do that after one or two games you'll be pulling the same kind of hate because your opponents know you can play big stuff.
These are all things you'll have to weigh up though, I guess its down to what works in your meta and your play style.

My meta tends to be aggressively focused, with some spell oriented decks, and to realize it your right running a combo or commander that cheats creatures into play will eventually become as predictable as a huge mana ramp deck. The combo would probably work for the first few games, but become predictable thus they would probably develop some counter to my strategy. I probably should have some other way to win besides cheating in creatures. Though I still love the idea of cheating in eldrazi. I could look into mono black which has good ramp spells, and has ways to cheat things into play via graveyard. Plus I feel like it might be more flexible than a deck that centralizes in cheating things into play, but it also has that option.

I run a Mono Black Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief (voltron, not tribal) deck which has an Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre in it. I like Mono back as it offers both ramp and card advantage. The only downside is that mono black sucks at dealing with artifacts and enchantments which is actually one of the reasons I run Ulamog.

I think black could definitely be one of the colors, as reanimation counts as cheating stuff in. I've been trying to make a jund deck for this, but with limited success. The commanders that do have this as their style are:
