If they're infinite, I do.

I run a mizzix deck and I can take like 8 additional turns from one card would you see that as enough for a win con ?

Taking extra turns is always powerful, and gives an advantage. But taking extra turns is in itself not a win con...it is what you do with them - your tactic - that makes them a win con.

F.i.: If you take infinite turns and just draw cards without doing anything, you'l deck yourself...It is the Laboratory Maniac (and others) that makes it a win con.

You do need a way to win eventually. I like taking extra turns, then killing them with the advantage I accrue. Normally a fireball for 40 to the face.

Most players will scoop when you have 8+ extra turns though. So you could not run a wincon and only do turns. Might seem a bit sleazy, but sometimes it works.

if you have infinite I'll accept it as a loss, or if you have good board presense to just win in combat, but I would want to see some ability to keep up extra turns rather than just "I have 8 extra sooo...."

I am able to cast and recast spells from my graveyard from mizzix mastery its very fun and useful card and can burn everyone for 40 or get a combo off ie laboratory maniac and enter the infinite so hopefully the extra turns will provide a massive advantage

It would entirely depend on what's benefited on board if I scoop or not, but I probably would.

I make sure to have Lighthouse Chronologist out so that I can partake in some turns with you!

haha if you had that out it would just go back to a "normal" game of magic haha

Lighthouse Chronologist wouldn't do anything unless it has seven level counters on it :p

So ive now changed my perspective on if its a valid wincon I took control of people's stuff then had an additional combat phase then attacked everyone for game also potentially I can gain infinite turns if Eye of the Storm is in play when I cast it then case another spell

Absolutely. In my mind, anything that's not banned is a go, and that definitely includes extra turns.

For me, only if they're infinite. 8 extra turns does not cut it.

Once someone turns the fun off I quit and if you take extra turns and each turn takes 10 mins I'm gonna quit cause you've taken the fun out of the game. If I want to watch someone play magic I can always watch YouTube

I have a friend with an ezuri, claw of progress edh deck with sage of hours, which can allow him to take infinite turns, it is a win con, but if someone does an infinite combo, we just continue the game as if that player wasn't there anymore.

@nostafari: Well that doesn't seem very nice.

ComradeJim270 my play group does the same as someone plays that thing where if they have 40 or more life they win the game

Purphoros, God of the Forge + Storm Herd is not infinite but could most certainly end the game. Or a surprize False Cure when someone tries to double their life total is an instant kill. Are these any better then a infinite combo
