Extreme Budget EDH Secret Santa.

OK, I just want to get all of your thoughts on this. This secret santa is something that my friends and I are doing and though you guy might like it.

Rules:

1. 5 players, 5 basic colors (could be more people if you include 2 color combinations)

2. players names are thrown in one pool and picked, same is done for colors.

3. player must build for the person that they picked in the color they picked.

4. Entire worth of the deck MUST be under $30 according to tcg mid. (this does not include shipping into cost)

5. Play epic budget EDH with a mono colored deck of each color!

Sounds fun. I would suggest not including basic lands in that cost though.

I want green....then just stick in a bunch of elves...your good. white is soldiers or knights or some combo of the two....red, definitely goblins. black is zombies, of course...but what would blue be. merfolk maybe...but the good merfolk get expensive since modern merfolk is well loved for being blue.

Blitzdragoon: *you're good

For Red I'd do Norin the Wary and ETB effects (Impact Tremors, Pandemonium,Warstorm Surge, etc), or Purphoros, God of the Forge with those same cards and many token generators. Or you could go for value cards and Jaya Ballard, Task Mage at the helm.

Mono Blue works really well with Talrand, Sky Summoner and 30 or so Counterspells.
