I like to think I know my way around commander and I usually craft really synergistic decks that do what i want when i want. But i still cannot see why people play Derevi, Empyrial Tactician I know shes good but what makes her tier one other than stasis lock?
No, but for real, if someone doesn't know why Derevi's insanely good, it's because of the following reasons:
- Spearheads one of the most effective takes on mana severance
- Avoids commander tax
- Dodges counterspells
- Can enter the battlefield at instant speed
- Gives access to a damn good slice of the color wheel
- Has built-in evasion
