I'm aware this might be a difficult question to answer but I'm gonna ask it anyway.
What is the best color(s) to use for a combo deck?
I tried Aggro and Control but it didn't do anything for me so far and I thought I'd try a combo deck since that's usually what play in other games.
I'm looking for either a mono-color or a color pair for casual edh games.
Thanks.

Aside from personal preference, which Crow_Umbra covered nicely, always seems to have several tricks. Training Grounds, Gilder Bairn, and Seedborn Muse are great enablers, and it's almost trivially easy to get infinite mana and/or counters, if that's your thing. Counterspell and Heroic Intervention are pretty typical protective spells. And if budget's a concern, all of these have very inexpensive replacements that work just as well most of the time. Lots of drawing, mana, and stability make this a very solid color pair for combo.

My three combo decks are in Bant, Abzan, and Golgari. But as others have said, it totally depends on what type of comboing you are wanting to do. Any mono-color or color pair can be built into a combo deck. What general types of combo do you like? (ex. Spellslinger, ETB/LTB combo, infinite tokens, Rube Goldberg combo)

It really depends on the combo. What colors/strategies do you like? There's a combo for it. My two decks with infinite combos are Mardu Reanimator and Gruul Lands.

What kind of combo are you looking for, or what is most fun for you? Every color combo has a plethora of combos available to them. I'd recommend checking out commanderspellbook.com as a resource to look up combos across different color combos. It explains in a pretty clear step by step manner how each combo is achieved.
Personally, I like to play combos where each of the components can stand on its own, so they don't necessarily feel like "dead" cards without the other pieces.
Some of my favorite combos:
This combo can be achieved with Leonin Relic-Warder and Animate Dead/ or Necromancy/ or Dance of the Dead. On their own, each can function independently & effectively, or be combined with something like Bastion of Remembrance or an Impact Tremors effect to drain out the table.
Again, on their own, each piece is fully functional and can stand on its own. In combination the two pieces can potentially lead to multiple combat steps.
I'd say figure out which colors and archetypes you like playing most, then search around on Spellbook to see if there are any combos that you might like. Just about every color has some kind of combo available to it, but each one might fit your playstyle or budget better than others.
