Legality not checking banlist?

Commander (EDH) forum

I built a commander deck on here, and included Sylvan Primordial. The Format legality checker said that it was ok, only to have me check the commander rules site and find it to be banned. How can we get this changed to be correct?

I'm not sure how to fix it, that's a question for yeaGO I think. However I had to point out to someone last night that Braids, Cabal Minion is banned even though TappedOut says she's legal.

Tappedout is never a good source for legality. Always check the respective banlists.

Also I just looked, and Sylvan Primordial shows up as banned in normal EDH. Duel Commander it says it is legal. So either there is a bug, or you just marked your deck incorrectly.

@lemmingllama that's not really an excuse. If the site is going to have a legality check, it should be reliable. It's 2015, this stuff can be automated. The deck is marked as "Commander / EDH", so I'm pretty sure it's a bug.

The format ban information is manually curated. Like everything else about this site, it's managed by volunteers. It's not bound to be error free, nor do we claim that it will be.

@Epochalyptik is there a procedure for these volunteers being notified? Do we know who they are? The contact form at the bottom just says to come to the forum for legality problems.

If you post it, someone will do something about it.

Commander / EDH ban list still hasn't been updated with the new banned cards that were added last year. It hasn't been updated since at least Gatecrash at this point, if not before.

I wish I knew who to contact, I would volunteer to at least keep the EDH listings up to date.
