Has anyone played against Grimlock, Dinobot Leader ? Played against it today and was really surprised at how good/powerful the deck was.
Prob wont ever see him played. As I play with a group that dont allow silver bordered cards.

Thats one of my favorite thing's about commander. At its core its a format defined by the people playing it. Whats allowed an not allowed is totally up to the group (unless sanctioned).
So your playgroup could allow Grim while still not allowing other silver borders. A lot of silver border cards can make games silly and can be a huge nuisance so I understand the rule. However, Grimlock, while being sorta silly in concept, actually is a really solid card that creates an opportunity for some truly unique and tricky deckbuilding.
Love this format.

I tested mine today for the first time and I agree it is surprisingly strong. I'm playing a double strike focused voltron version. It turns out 16 or 22 commander damage on turn four or five is pretty good, who would have guessed :-P
I hope you will check my list and comment.

I built Grimlock too. The first time I played him I forgot my transformer toy but he didn't really need to transform. I've just jammed in a bunch of cards which benefit from him out of whatever I already have. It's a fun deck to play. With stronger vehicles and dinosaurs and some better card draw I could see it doing pretty well indeed.
One of the coolest parts is just the sight of certain groups of cards being played together. There are very few decks which would play the cards Grimlock cares about together.
Transform and Roll Out!

Im currently building him. Its amazing how many fun interactions you can have in the deck since it can benefit so many different strategies.
The problem I am having is deciding which strategy I should focus on more! I think his flexibility does make him incredibly strong as a commander.
