Simic Wincondancy

Hey y''all. I would love to build a Simic deck with Simic Ascendancy as my wincon. I'm curious though, who would be best at the helm of this deck? Experiment Kraj seems very suitable. Ezuri, Claw of Progress is probably more expensive than I'm willing to spend on a commander but I'd love to have him.
I'm honestly curious if I could manage Eutropia the Twice-Favored as a commander, but she's a little lackluster. I'd get benefits for running Hydra's Growth, for sure.
Thoughts?
I play it in Pir & Toothy.
Step 1: Draw a card
Step 2: Put a +1/+1 Counter on Toothy, Pir adds an extra counter.
Step 3: Put a two growth counters on Ascendancy for the counters put on toothy.
Step 4: put two extra growth counters on ascendancy thanks to Pir.
Step 5: use this information to play Echo of Eons putting 28 counters on ascendancy.

I second Vorel of the Hull Clade, if you want simic ascendancy as the win Vorel will get you there quick.

I honestly dont think the commander matters much here. The deck you build will matter so much more. I think you should go simic with a splash a black. So you can put Winding Constrictor and Corpsejack Menace in there along side of Doubling Season, Pir, Imaginative Rascal, and Deepglow Skate. You can also run Helix Pinnacle as well.
With all that being said. I think Muldrotha, the Gravetide should be your cmdr.

oooo griffstick makes a great point. And with muldrotha you have a way to get simic ascendancy back after people inevitably blow it up.

Idk how I feel about a Muldrotha Ascendancy deck. Vorel is nice since it doesn't specify which type of counters, however Vorel can't directly interact with Ascendancy...
Pir/Toothy with the new Nadir Kraken sounds like a fun interaction and a possible creature wincon if Ascendancy fails...

Just make sure it's a weak commander. Simic is way overpowered right now, so if you're not playing something that communicates you're playing jank like Roalesk, Apex Hybrid or Vorel of the Hull Clade.

Plain ol' momir vig, simic visionary will get you anything you want...including a lot of hate. But he makes a simic deck run as smoothly as you need it to...lol

Shrieking Drake + Doubling Season = instant win in combo with it. I usually like to also have Sneaky Nissa, Voice of Zendikar or Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury sending over unsuspecting tokens to assign +1/+1's on to another important things. My usual combo win is just with Sage of Hours + Walking Ballista.

why not run Vorel of the Hull Clade? He seems like a really easy way to get a lot of counters on a creature, very quickly.
