Until the next banlist announcement on January 15th, Uncards are legal in Commander. The is a ban list with the cards and some suggested cards to not allow as well.

Um but they're silver boardered so they never have to chance to be legal in the first place

RC has decided that they are legel for the next few weeks in Commander. Which I find highly undesirable and unhealthy. But it's no joke (so far).

Reason: Push sales for Unstable. Wizards seems to get a firmer grip on Sheldon.

Interesting hypothesis PartyJ. Supported by the fact that it is in fact a temporary change only after Unstable has been released. Im certain this wouldnt hurt the sales for the joke set.

Ill be ignoring uncards myself (due to personal distaste) until they return to their non-legal status. Honestly, commander can be wacky enough without the likes of Rules lawyer , The Grand Calcutron, Gleemax, or the like running amok.

I don't know how I feel about this change. Obviously there's a lot of people that were planning on doing Un-mander, but I'm not sure it should be the rule rather than the exception. As someone who doesn't have a normal playgroup, my experience really depends on what everyone else at my LGS is bringing, and frankly as fun as these cards are I'm not sure how I feel about people shooting at my deck with Nerf guns or making me play with one hand behind my back, let alone sliding cards across the table, throwing them, tearing them up and throwing them, etc.

It is important to note that there are now dexterity cards that are legal in a Constructed format.

Well they seem to be working on a banlist working on specific uncards that are too broken/complicated. I think this could be fine, if they intend to keep sifting out the more problematic cards

PartyJ the voice of reason here. I can't disagree.

I was already planning on making a Commander deck for Spike, Tournament Grinder but that would be for Casual play only.

Making the entire set legal is a stupid idea. This has been one of the biggest reasons I speak out against the RC so much. Casual play is just that, Casual. You make your own rules and play, we don't need the RC to tell us how to play Casual games.

The RC should deal strictly in Competitive play. That is the only place they are needed. Making an "Un" set legal for Competitive play just shows their incompetence to control the format.

I was previously on the "I don't want to play against un-cards" camp prior to the announcement (you can see my many comments against it in my post history on reddit).

However, now that it's been officialized with a well-crafted ban list, I am fully excited to play some legal ungames for 6 weeks.

There are people who want to play with silver borders, and some who dont.

MY PROPOSED SOLUTION:

For each of my decks, I am building an "silverboard", where I can replace cards in my deck with silver bordered cards.

Speaking on behalf of all uncommander players, we won't be upset if someone refuses to play because we want to play a silly game of uncommander. Speaking for myself, I will be able to play under the house rules of "no silver border allowed" if there aren't enough players open to playing with silver border cards.

Problem solved.

I wasn't all that stoked for the unset until I learned of the new full art spirit token today. I can't wait to hear about all the zany stuff EDH players do with the Unstable cards while they are legal

The announcement excited me because I have a Grimlock, Dinobot Leader  Flip deck. My former playgroup was kind enough to agree to let me use him as a commander. Silver border being legal means I have had a few weeks where I could not feel too intimidated with bringing him to EDH day at the LGS. My approach before, during, and after the silver legality is simply to check with the other players in the game if they're ok with me using a silver border general. The entire 99 is non-silver. If someone strongly objects then I can easily play one of my several other decks.
