What Commanders From MH2 Are You Excited To Build?

Hello all! Modern Horizons 2 is pretty close to releasing, and I am pretty excited to build around some of the commanders from this set. I have got my eyes on Yusri, Fortune's Flame and Carth the Lion . Lonis, Cryptozoologist seems pretty fun too. What commanders do you want to build around?
I think I want to build a investigation themed Lonis, Cryptozoologist deck. It seems fun and not just another high-powered but simple Simic commander. Exactly what I've been looking for.

I've been brewing up a lot of the commanders from the set. Though so far I think Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and Lonis, Cryptozoologist will be the most interesting. Ragavan slots nicely into a lot of 99s that little monkey is going to do so much work - I've paired it up with Lantern of Insight and have a feeling it'll generate heaps of salt. Lonis on the other hand can be a fun and fair clues deck or a degenerate Aluren bounce house deck even with the prevalence of Dockside Extortionist I think it'll make a splash.
The other commanders either don't have enough support at least from my perspective or they're the same theme with a different spin - not that, that is entirely a bad thing but it puts too much stress on my collection to be able to participate in sanctioned events.

Abaques - never underestimates a simic commander! They can all be broken ;)

Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer is fantastic, and is definitely going into my Scouts for the Empyrean Squadron deck. I might try building a deck with him as the commander, but I don't have a solid idea of what it would look like.
Simic: Guilty until proven innocent.

Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp might be the only contender I'm interested in building around from MH2. Really most of the cards in this set I'd like to work into existing Commander decks. Some of the new discard payoffs especially can boost up my (non-legal that's why I ask before I play with it every time) self-discard focused Glint-Eye Nephilim deck.

Aeve, Progenitor Ooze I'd been in the mood for another tribal deck, and haven't been happy with my Saskia the Unyielding build for a while, but now, my problems are solved with 4C Ooze tribal.

Haha, I suppose you're right RNR_Gaming! Maybe I'll throw in Recycle and City of Solitude into that Aluren and Shrieking Drake combo and relive the mid-90's!

I was initailly very excited about Chatterfang, Squirrel General but I ended up feeling it was too pushed. Which is ironic since I am excited to try my hand at deckbuilding a merfolk deck with Svyelun of Sea and Sky at the helm.

Chatterfang, Squirrel General is already made. Finally 15 years after my legacy squirrels a decent squirrel commander that supports the tribe :-)

Grist, the Hunger Tide hes a creature in the commander zone. I like planeswalker commanders and I've felt like insects needed some love for awhile now. It just stinks because theres so many bad ones

Trying to make a Lonis, Cryptozoologist list but it seems like there still isn't enough Clue support and I just keep ending up with Chulane-esque self bounce value stuff, which doesn't really interest me. Might try to go towards like an artifact animation theme, not sure.

If I had to pick one, it would be Piru, the Volatile . Love the callback to the original Elder Dragons, and he's in my favourite three-colour combination no less. Honestly though, he's probably going to go into my Kaalia, Zenith Seeker deck which already has a lot of Legendary creatures.
Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar is a close second but already have plans for her to go into my Chainer, Nightmare Adept deck.
I really love what MH2 is putting out but honestly kind of relieved that none of the Legendaries are really making me feel the itch to build a new deck. Most of the cards I'm excited for are things I'd like to add to decks I already have or have been working on.

For some reason, I am super hyped about Piru, the Volatile .
I don't even really know why. I have my Mardu deck. I have my lifegain deck. I never really cared about 'Legendary Matters'. And I don't like big, dumb, gigantic commanders. But I just want to jam it all day with an on-board Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose , not pay it's upkeep cost, and declare that everything else is tomorrow's problem.

I'm super stoked about all those great mono-white commanders, particularly the ones with card draw. Oh wait, there are no mono-white legends......

Garth One-Eye and Carth the Lion .
Garth was on the top of my list of characters that I thought should get a card, but honestly never thought they'd actually make a card for him. I think the card design is actually spot on.
Carth is the perfect commander to helm a golgari planeswalker deck, and I have been trying to make that work for a while now.
