What is your strategy?

Politics: Talking your way out of bad situations or convincing one opponent to attack another. Stuff like that.

HateDraw: Playing the one deck with like fifty infinite combos cough Niv Mizzix cough, Land destruction, Lock Down. Those types of douchy things.

Lets Be Friends: Trying to win by helping everyone.

Pain Train: Anything and everything you tap and cast can and will be used against you in the court of magic.

There are more but Im too lazy to list them.

I personally like Pain Train because it makes games move way faster.

Most of my decks are friendly, except angels. Angels are dicks

I am an Mtg Griefer (as I've been defined). I take joy in other player's misery, pain, or general un-fun-ness. The generals I play that best encompass me are Azami, Lady of Scrolls, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, and Damia, Sage of Stone.

I'm the Hoard guy. Typically play green or tribal so I try to build up a massive wall of creatures.

Not sure what play style to call this, but I am playing with my Sigarda humans deck right now and it kind of out paces the whole pack.

I play unconventional decks, but I try to play the politics game no matter what, leveraging what I can do for or against others

I'm a mix of political and blowing everything up. Blowing everything up can be very political in and of itself. I usually don't pose a visible threat until 2-3 turns before winning. Up to that point, it's a matter of stopping our Skullbriar, the Walking Grave player from killing me first and convincing everyone else that "hey, do you guys see what Josh has? He's probably about to win next turn if we don't unite and do something about it." It requires a lot of politics for me to win, as I'm playing a Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck with Anafenza, the Foremost and Sigarda, Heron's Grace in my playgroup. Hate Anafenza off the board every time she enters, convince Skullbriar and Sigarda to face off, and then chances for winning are about 85%

Also, infinite combos and MLD are not allowed in my playgroup. Counterspells are frowned upon. No blue players, it's beautiful.

I'm more in the reanimator camp. I love using my graveyard to the fullest so I tend to gravitate towards commanders that support that. Thanks to the new Queen Marchesa (long may she reign), I've begun embracing politics style play more.

I'd be more of a ramp person (if it counts). I want to capture the flavor of "exploring" by searching out basics with different arts from different planes.

e10mays: I'm jealous. My playgroup is dominated by a cutthroat few. It's sad, really. Take them away and it's not bad.

I like playing ramp, syngery, combo, and graveyard decks. Bascially any deck that has a lot of resilience or explosive potential.

I also recently built a taxes and group slug type deck with Kambal, Consul of Allocation which is a ton of fun.

Well I play good cards so that moment I play something I get targeted so I made sure I have some dank ass combo in the deck and just bring the hate

I am usually the player who has the fastest start on the table, no matter what the strategy is, because I always build my decks for a strong first impact on the board. I would say that's a mix of hate draw and politics then, because if you dominate the board and are still able to convince the others that someone else is possibly the bigger threat, it's most likely a win. Works best with Augustin's $t4ks (4000$ Solution/Stax) but people who know the deck well don't believe me anymore when I say "hey, I'm not actually DOING anything besides giving you all more time!".

With other decks it's just trying to rush and kill, for example with Grenzo, Havoc Raiser I can't argue that I'm no threat because dropping goblin after goblin and stealing opponents' cards is too obvious to go unnoticed.

With my 5 colour Combo Queen deck I have a good chance of playing politically, although it can be quite fast. I'm trying to offer the other players to eliminate the biggest threat at the moment like "I can handle this if you just give me one more turn"...but then it might end in killing ALL other players, not just the one everyone else wanted to disable. Not sure how often the same people will fall for that, lol.

My strategy tends to be "durdle until at least 10 mana available then snowball". As a fan of long games, I'm not a fan of an early win lol.
