Which commander for a Simic ultra-budget deck?

I have a deck series on here that's all about making decks as low-budget as possible--like, below $3 on TCGPlayer, below $25 on CardKingdom cheap. I'm looking in a couple of different directions for , and I'd like to get some ideas of what option would get more people interested. My main thoughts right now are
-
Eutropia the Twice-Favored enchantment value (not auras, that's for my deck)
-
Alaundo the Seer multi-spell combo, with cards like Saruman the White and Hunting Pack.
The outside thoughts are
-
Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty or Troyan, Gutsy Explorer big spells
-
Jolrael, Voice of Zhalfir hand size matters
-
Vorel of the Hull Clade counters
Which of these sounds the most interesting for a ultra-budget deck? For some examples of what I've done so far, check these out.

I recently heard of a way to play Eutropia with spells such as Broken Wings and Hurricane to basically play Simic Doom Blade tribal. Sounds like a cheap way.

seshiro_of_the_orochi Oh, that's a nice touch. I didn't think of that.

I like the idea of using Vorel on other people’s things. He’s in my Simic watermark deck, and it’s funny to double the -1/-1 counters on the 2/2 undying creature my opponent was planning on using, or the stun counters that someone just put on something. Vorel operates on a very fundamental/basic level, which is my favorite kind of card. Totally open-ended when it comes to weird interactions with the 300 other cards people in my pod brought. “That Chalice of the Void is pretty bad-ass... I think it would be even BETTER if it had 8 counters rather than four.....” ;p

I'm a fan of Troyan, Gutsy Explorer myself. I don't have him built in paper but he's my Brawl deck on Arena rn. His second ability opens up edge case cards like Madness, flashback spells like Deep Analysis, and incarnations like Wonder.

SteelSentry What other cards would you suggest for this with the budget restriction?

On Arena I have every budget beater and card draw spell in those colors I own for the most part. I usually don't recommend it as a first stop, but in this case, the theme is wide open enough that a scroll through EDHREC is a fine place to start.

It looks like Adventures are a good budget option, and Keruga as a companion is another neat direction to go in. Check out split cards and the new Rooms in Duskmourn for ways to get around Keruga, the Macrosage's restriction!

SteelSentry I don't want to turn down your advice, I'm going to check EDHrec, but I have a Gorion, Wise Mentor deck in this series for Adventures. Keruga, the Macrosage would be a fun twist if I can make the budgeting work.

No problem! I'm glad my suggestion piqued your interest if anything. Like I said, I've currently only built him in 1v1 Brawl which is a much different deck building philosophy. I'm excited to see if it ends up turning out.

Prime Speaker Zegana is pretty budget-friendly (under $2) and consistently draws a lot of cards. You can just play power matters and goodstuff. Or you can put her in the 99 in any deck.

hyalopterouslemur I'm pretty much locked into Eutropia the Twice-Favored enchantments at this point, but I do like your thinking. Prime Speaker Zegana might find her way into the deck.

I used to play Eutropia the Twice-Favored a few years ago and had a lot of fun with her at the time. The recent addition of Role tokens and all the new Enchantment stuff from Duskmourn opens up new support that could be interesting.
Being able to stack counters on creatures and give them temporary Flying made damage feel much more doable and inevitable.
