Which Marchesa deck works better on a budget

Yesterday at my LGS there has been a discussion about which Version of Marchesa ( Queen Marchesa vs Marchesa, the Black Rose ) EDH deck works better on a budget (let's say 50$ not including commander's price since one costs a lot more than the other).
Some people said that the Queen Marchesa deck is more fun to play, even if it needs more expensive cards to work as it should while the other on a budget is more consistent even if less fun to play (i was among these). Others instead picked one saying for various reasons that it was better than the other (maybe because Queen Marchesa is more about control while Marchesa, the Black Rose is more aggro style).
So, What's your opinion? Who would you pick between the two? And why? Remember that we are on a budget (super budget lol).

Just be mindful of your avg. cmc if you build it. There's no shortage of budget friendly high cmc bombs... resist the urge to shove them all in and you should be fine (3.5 or less for the avg. cmc and she runs pretty good).

Well, given that 2/5ths of your budget are your commander with Queen Marchesa , the non-royalty one takes the crown.
With the other marchesa, you have so many ways to go - modular artifacts like Arcbound Ravager builds or undying builds with things like Geralf's Messenger .

I'd also pick Black Rose because she's my favorite deck.

Boza in the budget we didn't consider the commander price since Queen Marchesa is about 20$ alone..

I have found that especially on a budget, decks with blue (and/or green) are often best in edh.

Rzepkanut well both would have black so removals wouldn't be a problem.. but may i ask you what makes you say that? it's an intresting point to discuss because blue doesn't have removals (and green either).. i would say that, if i had to chose a single color, i would pick black or white because of that..

Blue has the most variety of, and thus the most budget friendly options for: card draw, permanent theft, and counterspells. Green has the advantage for ramp and giant monsters. In my experience ramp and card draw is king in edh.

Well they are sure two key factors in edh so of course you have a point but i think removals are essential since soon or later you could have to press the reset button on the battlefield…
About the main topic, no one picks Queen Marchesa ? At least in terms of fun maybe?

Personally I love Queen Marchesa (long may she reign), and I’ve built her on a budget fairly successfully. There’s lots of different ways you can build her, but I went with Aikido thanks to this deck:

Granted that’s ridiculously expensive. Here’s my budget version that became slightly less budget thanks to an upgrade:

This deck is crazy fun because everyone’s deck gets a chance to function. Not to mention wins are explosive, and almost wins are just as fun!

Black Rose by far. It's a much more flexible deck (thus more budget friendly options) and its' staples aren't really used in any other deck, like Unspeakable Symbol .
