Chance at greatness- 2uu

legendary enchantment

this spell cannot be countered.

spells may be put onto the stack between this card's abilities.

At the beginning of your upkeep, you may draw any number of cards. if you do, you lose the game.

thoughts?

My brain just exploded from that ugly wording. But... High Tide, Turn 3 casts this, draws whole deck, in response to losing, go off at instant speed.

Instant High Tide would be the strongest deck in Legacy. Imagine having a four-drop that says "You win the game" you could have a four-of in Your deck. Done bashing. Great card design, goes somewhere Wizards can't.

on the otherhand, one counterspell or silence and you're doomed.

I'm actually planning on making another card just to counteract this one and things like it

While you're clutching four force of will?

trust me, the other card handles it VERY WELL.

in fact, I'm going to make a lot of cards that interfere with the stack.

should I make a new thread, or just use this one?

"spells may be put onto the stack between this card's abilities."

Ew, that wording makes me cringe. How about: "At the beginning of your upkeep, you may draw any number of cards. If you do, you lose the game at the end of upkeep."

I thoguht about that, but it isnt messy enough. also, it allows ABILITIES to go on, unlike the other version.

I believe all you need to do to get the desired effect is just put the draw and the lose clause in different paragraphs. Much like how you can use Fiend Hunter to permantly exile cards.

So

At the beginning of your upkeep, you may draw any number of cards.

At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose the game.

You can still activate abilities though.
