I have been wanting to create a creature that has a focus on instants and sorceries, so here is my creation:

Alejandro Alvarez, Archmage Adept Show

Casting Cost:

Legendary Creature - human wizard

Power/Toughness: 3/3

When Alejandro Alvarez, Archmage Adept enters the battlefield, search your library for an instant or sorcery card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

Instant and sorcery spell that you cast cost less to cast.

When Alejandro Alvarez dies, return target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand.

All three of Alejandro's abilities work with instants and sorceries. His first ability works when he enters the battlefield by helping his controller to obtain what they need, his second ability is constantly active while he is on the battlefield, making instants and sorceries easier to cast, and his third ability triggers when he dies, allowing his controller to regain a spell that they have already cast. I was not certain if he should be a 2/2 or a 3/3, but I decided that making him a 3/3 would not be too powerful. I hope that his mana cost is not too low, either.

What does everyone else say about this? How well did I do with this card?

this feels undercosted. I think 5 mana would be more balanced since you'd be able to utilize him so much. I mean, can you imagine playing him, grabbing Fabricate, using it to get Conjurer's Closet and oops, now you have a ridiculous engine for control combo or whatever.

DERPLINGSUPREME, yes, 5 mana seems balanced, to me, so I shall adjust my above post, accordingly.

I'm not really a spell slinger myself but I would totally use him in nekusar commander decks
