Another Custom Commander who is PROBABLY Broken

I made this guy for my little brother. I'm not sure on the wording here, but basically you HAVE to suspend spells from your hand (or cheat them out I guess) but the suspend is free. The number of counters is equal to the card's cost, so Brainstorm gets 1 counter and Omniscience gets 10. Whenever you remove a counter, you get a zombie. I think this is fairly balanced powerwise, but is there a dumb way to abuse this? Or is the ability just too good? It feels balanced but I figure I oughta ask the community's opinion.
my two thoughts are:
where the heck did you find that image?! is frickin' sick!
also, once you can pay to cast the commander, you should have enough resources to cast most things in your deck. do you really want to wait two turns for the Terminate to resolve if you need their creature dead right now, or seven turns for Thraximundar?
i think the 2/2 zombies are good because they'll flood the board to distract your opponents, even if they do eventually Counterspell the thing you've suspended. i would imagine that the turn you cast your commander, you also suspend EVERYTHING in your hand to hopefully get multiple zombies per turn. very cool
also, also, how does suspend work with alternative casting costs like with Cyclonic Rift?

Well, there is the small problem with templating:
_Spells in your hand have "0: Suspend X", where X is the converted mana cost of the spell.
You cannot cast spells from your hand.
Whenever a time counter is removed from a card in exile you own, put a 2/2 Zombie token into play._
Basically, this is a very weak commander, it feels more like Chronatog the commander more than anything else. 1 Swords to Plowshares later and you have nothing to protect you.

greyninja - That's from Peter Mohrbacher's Angelarium art set. I'd recommend Googling it since he made some sick angels

So do folks think it's underpowered? I was originally thinking of including a way to sacrifice creatures and remove counters, but I thought that was where it would get broken. Something like
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 2/2 zombie creature token into play for each suspended card you own.
Sacrifice 2 (or3?) zombies: Remove a time counter from target suspended card.
I know that's not the proper wording but just so you get the interaction. I worry though that there's just too much text to fit into the box even if I get it to a fair power level.
Right now I agree that the ability sort of makes for boring gameplay, but I think it sort of creates an interesting playstyle that is unusual for Grixis which is usually very reactionary.

a sac outlet built in i think is too much. there are so many ways to sac in those colors already, which is a great way to build the deck.
you could give him flying, or deathtouch. OR, a cool ability could be "Gevurah, Encroaching Doom costs less to cast for each spell you control that is suspended"
as mentioned, the fear is that you cast you commander, suspend everything, then your commander is spot-removed or wrath'd and now you have tons of suspended cards and no zombies flowing in since he's no longer on the battlefield.

I feel like flash doesn't feel very "encroaching."
Maybe give him a buff for each suspended card?

why lol
unless he had one of those abilities that happens from suspend? like rehash the card to do something with like whenever you remove a time counter from him remove a time counter from all other suspended cards

NecroPony: Jhoira's Timebug + Intruder Alarm you mean.
I wonder if Derevi-ing him onto the field is a good fix . . . AKA another way to put into play.
Ahem "Sacrifice X (hunch is six or eight just for flavor reasonssmaller digression, six because "evil" and eight for an Asian vibe b/c Gevurah looks like a shinigami) zombies: put Gevurah onto the battlefield from the command zone".

Jhoira's Timebug just got cool. I actually wish this was real...its only broken in that it brakes the game. You no longer need mana, or colour fixing. Counterspells are useless, as is ramp and x spells.
