Ok so I thought of a mechanic that represents skill with weapons. It could probably be worded a hundred times better, but anyway:
Armed(Whenever an equipment becomes attached to this creature, put a token onto the battlefield that is a copy of that equipment attached to this creature. Whenever one of those equipment becomes unattached to this creature, sacrifice the other.)
It seems unnecessarily complicated, but I don't know of any other way to double the effects of equipment.

It is a bit undercosted (I would lower the stats and make it cost at least ) and outright broken as a commander, just thought I'd share my idea. Also the wording is off because I just made it, sorry for that.

Yeah it might be a bit overpowered, but we can worry about that after we word it correctly...

You want to worry about mechanics after finding proper vocabulary?
Doubling any equipment is crazzzzzy good. Wizards would never go for making it as common as a named mechanic. What they might come close to is what I suggested where they give a creature a +X/+X based on the creature themself when an equipment is attached, essentially and potentially doubling equipment stats.

Ya doubling equipment is crazy overpowered. What if instead Armed could allow the creature to be equipped with any equipment free of cost or at a reduced cost. Shows skill with weapons to be able to pick up any weapon and use it.

That's actually a good idea. Maybe:
Armed(cost)(Cost:equip target equipment you control to this creature) It's completely different from my concept, but it still fits the flavor. I'll think about it.

Yes double Umezawa's Jitte is perfectly fine, I promise.

What about armed(number) and it only worked on stuff with cmc (number) or less?

Double Argentum Armor? Double Quietus Spike? Sure, that's brilliant.
Why not Armed # (This creature gets +#/+# if it only has one equipment attached to it. If another equipment is attached, sacrifice one.)
