Drumius, Supreme Judge of Kharina
Legendary Creature - Human Lord
:Counter target spell unless its controller pays [1].
Whenever an opponent resolves a spell, you may pay . If you do, draw a card.
[2/4]
So here's the first version of this card. I feel like he might be too powerful, so I'd like some suggestions on what I can change to make it fair. My friend that's probably looked at every card doesn't want to give me any real feedback and keeps telling me to look at Baral, however I don't think that these two cards are similar and shouldn't be compared the way he is trying to. Thank you in advance.

I mean I don't know. Disruptive Student isn't really a playable card, so making it a 2/4 that occasionally draws you a card or two wouldn't make it broken.

Currently, this card is too good and too easy to splash. I would suggest that it needs in its mana cost, and that it's ability should be either "," or ","

Yes, I would go for the mana cost.
For the rest, it seems rather ok :) I would just change the word on the card draw ability to : "Whenever a spell an opponent controls resolves, you may pay . If you do, draw a card."

I took into consideration all of your comments and added a second version to the original post. I added his name, but I don't think that should change anything. I also learned how to add symbols haha.
And thank you for the wording fix on the second ability. I wasn't sure how to word it.

As of now the creature is solid and would be pretty cool. Pair it with Training Grounds and the card draw becomea broken. I suggest you come up with another color and make the second ability use that color. More importantly the draw needs to have some sort of drawback if it can be done so easily. If you splash red make it loot or rummage. If you splash black it can read "draw a card and lose a life" if you splash white it could tap and untapped creature you control instead. Green is kind of tricky but you could come up with something on color I am sure. I am not trying to radically change the card by any means, but I do feel that with effects that reduce the cost to activate abilities existing that it is a little too powerful.

"Lord" is not a creature type. Used to be back when but they have been ratified to other creature types like Wizard, Human, Barbarian,Kobold, and maybe more.

I'm aware, but my friend wanted a cycle of kings for our cube. Since it's a custom card cube, I thought I'd be fine to have Lord in there. Especially since we're making our own creature types.

Or you can keep the P/T the same, but have to use for the cost. That, in my opinion, would make it fair. Either that, or add the ability, "Whenever an opponent resolves a spell, you lose X life, where X is the number of spells cast by that player this turn.

for activation is way too high.
It's a lord man, from a cycle of custom kings. He has to be pushed a little bit at least. Beign a 2/3 is for 3 cmc is bad enough, let's not touch his ability ;)

I think the was for the mana cost, not to activate its ability.

Yeah, that's the mana cost, not the activation cost. That would be so bad xD

Ahah I got it wrong :D then yeh why not, I love the devotion mechanic :)

Devotion?...But we don't have that in our cube. Cut me some slack haha

Looks good. I'd lower the toughness by 1 besause I think it's a little too strong to survive Lightning Bolt and things like that.
