The poem The Conqueror Worm by Edgar Allen Poe is a very awesome poem, an exemplar of his unique style, a poem that, like many others that he wrote, speaks of human mortality and the inevitability of death. It is one of my favorite pieces of his, so, being that Halloween is soon to be celebrated, I wish to commemorate that poem with an M:tG card named in its honor, and here is the result of my work:

Currently, I have the card written so that it can destroy only non-creature permanents, to prevent it from being too powerful, but I wonder if it should be allowed to destroy any permanent, since the ability requires three colors of mana to use, one of which is black, the best color for creature destruction.
What does everyone else say about this card? How well did I do with it? Should I leave the ability as it is, or allow it to destroy creatures, as well?

I'd do nonlands over noncreatures, for flavor reasons AND balance reasons.

I like it. I would say that it should say "Destroy target noncreature permanent or target creature with power less than CARDNAME." This method of creature removal works for red and green, as well as letting the black in the card shine.

I'd say you can have it just be target permanent. Between the three colors, they can destroy any permanent type, so it isn't exactly out of its wheel house. Besides, look at Violent Ultimatum. If you're worried about it being to abusable then, you could bump the cost to .

M a g i c a l H a c k e r, I like the idea of destroying non-land permanents instead of non-creature permanents, so I shall change it to that.

If anyone says it's not powerful enough, then you could either change the ability to be free or make it something that happens on attack. You could argue that giving him double strike is too good, but I think it's fine even if it's a free trigger.

Solid Rare card. Could easily see wizards putting this in a set.
