Gonna use this thread to put out my card ideas for a set I have in mind. Stay tuned as I put my wacky ideas to paper!

First Wager seems way too risky for a counterspell. At two mana in multicolor I'd say an uncommon could just be a counterspell with a slight drawback like Mana Leak. But a counter spell with the chance to continue someone's deck combo is kind of brutal. In commander it's pretty useful, but elsewhere it can be a nightmare.

Second wager fits better in colors and concept. Got good aggro on one side and damage on the other, usual Rakdos kinda style so it's pretty good. I'd say it might be a bit OP on the win side, though. Maybe just +5/+0 and trample or something.

Shuffles sure likes to break down an old school beat on his ultimate. CAST ANY NUMBER OF CAST ANY NUMBER OF! OH also forgot to put your loyalty counters. Anyways, I feel like at two mana to get some cycling that shuffles your library every turn might be a bit OP, but I can see the +2 has the better appeal for the number but I'd still do the +1 more often. Also the concept of his combo seems a bit like Karn Liberated but restricted to Izzet colors. Exile stuff to get to the ultimate where you get all the exiled cards back.

Wording didn't save when I fixed it.

Fuck you MSE lol

well as for the wagers, I have to keep the blue a little under wraps. 2 mana counters in modern is pretty risky the red could get brutal in commander but anywhere else, losing a flip is a 4th of your life. Winning better be worth it right? lol

Shuffles was the reason this set ever came to exist lol. I thought he could be a wacky fun walker.

His loyalty is supposed to be 3 but that might be a little op I dunno

Well Counterspell is monoblue straight up counter. For two colors needed, I feel like it has too heavy of a drawback.

Yeah with 3 loyalty at 2 mana cost he's kind of ridiculous. Just the way he comes out and immediately gives versatility right then and there.

hmm. Alrighty then. I'll make the drawback on the Blue one less harsh. leak seems fair

2 loyalty seems like a place to go

I really don't see the point of first post. Why couldn't you just post the pictures when you made them, in one post? :P

Everything has been already said about the first one, so I wont bother repeating. Maniacal Wager seems okay. I woulf maybe take of either first strike or trample. Preferably first strike.

Also, 2 mana planeswalkers shouldn't be a thing.

Okay, that would be the best counter spell since... Counterspell. Really op, I'd say. Especially because it's "target spell", not "target non-creature spell" or "target creature spell".

Maybe something like:

If you win, counter target spell

If you lose, counter target spell if you pay extra

With better wording of course :D

Didn't honestly think it further than two stupid cards but the ideas kept coming.

I think shuffles is a pain in the ass...kinda how I intend him to be. 0 percent chance to ever be not broken and I enjoy that.

Rakdos wager has some debate. Some were saying before that one keyword wasn't enough. Now it's too much. Can't please everyone

Was worried about that. It's possible exhaustion is disabling my ability to make good cards x,x''

In my opinion it has three now, not two. Well, at least I count the +5/+0 as one too. But yeah, it's hard to please everyone. We are talking about opinions after all :)

Counterspell can be played in a monoblue deck safely, the Wager is needing to be in an Azorious deck, thus giving it an innate ability to have better abilities. It's funny how so many people can have such different opinions on what is powerful and whats not. The other day I posted a commander and the first page was people saying he was useless, next page they said he was way too OP. Just gets ridiculous to try to know who is right or not.
