It really bothers me that the picture is being offset downward and leaving that black bar at the top. Oh well.

Planeswalker cards use the total vertical space of the card for the art and put a translucent lair over the bottom of the art to put the text on. The picture is centered vertically and there is a matching black bar at the bottom.

From a colour identity stance, making a mono-white poison/proliferate Commander is going to always be flawed. White/Colourless infect creatures and other mechanisms for adding poison counters exist, but they are limited in their scope and generally inefficient. Same goes with proliferate.
It also strikes me as a bit strange that the “Mother of Machines” does not make artifact creature tokens, though admittedly there are synergy problems there given how it would enable both artifact and creature synergies.

Lol, wasn't it me who complained for years on this site that all Phyrexian creatures, such as Suture Priest, should have been artifact creatures?
I do agree. But the 2/2 Phyrexian tokens and the 0/0 Phyrexian Germ tokens are both non-artifacts.
But yes I do agree. Oversight on my behalf.
As for the white, oh it's totally a color identity break. But, I felt it was a good exception for her :)

I don’t think it’s a colour break per se - any more than most things about New Phyrexia were. White is the third most common colour for proliferate and tied with Blue for third most common infect colour, so I think it works as well as anything Phyrexian. My bigger concern was a deck building one - since she can be a commander, the lack of critical mass of playable cards means you’re either going to be over-reliant on fielding her or playing suboptimal cards.

Sorry, I was replying while diagnosing a no heat for a furnace.

The original image is here, borrowed from Geek Culture. I just used a free online tool to center Norn on the MTG card frame, but for some reason when I do this it shifts the entire image downward, despite only cropping the left side off and leaving the total vertical information the same.
