in case you'er confused, it might help to say that, yes, I worded this correctly.

February 9, 2016 7:03 p.m.

I see. So if you put an enchantment like, say, Fire Whip, on this, you could tap and trigger the ability in response to something being cast.

How does this work? Only way I see is if you enchant him with something like Fire Whip.

It also seems a bit OP considering the only way to counter it is to Stifle it.

I think a fight mechanic would make his ability a lot more relevant. Something like ", tap: ~ deals damage equal to its power to target player" or ", tap: ~ fights target creature".

Couple other things:

If this guy had haste, flash, and/or can't be countered, it would make a lot more sense flavorwise and relevance. You could also add that he can only activate his abilities when an opponent has a spell or ability on the stack, although that sounds more Simic or Azorius.

@amazingdan you're actually helping instead of saying how weird it is! woo!

I dunno, I'm not sure if giving it a fight mechanic would be over powered or not, especially considering it'd basically be a reusable counter without the loss of any cards whatsoever.

I like the idea of the whole Fire Whip thing more...

IDk, this was just a thing I thought of.

DERPLINGSUPREME Just give it : Spellslice Behemoth deals 1 damage to each player.

The fight mechanic would turn this thing into an engine that generates value AND protects itself. Careful about designing cards like that.

...This isn't even a Red/Green card...this is more a Green/Blue one.

Spellslice Behemoth fights any number of creatures.

February 9, 2016 7:50 p.m.

DrFunk27 that ability seems way too broken. I think changing that to making it fight one creature, maybe two creatures, would be better.

Domori_Mogenstern

What about

Spellslice Behemoth gains deathtouch and fights up to two creatures.

=D

February 9, 2016 8:17 p.m.

Wut

This is fun, actually. Though I do think it should either be legendary or have an implanted ability. Or both.

February 9, 2016 8:22 p.m.

DrFunk27 that's a bit more balanced but still worthy of a legendary creature.

February 9, 2016 8:37 p.m.

I just realized you added in deathtouch too. That makes it insanely good.

Spellslice Behemoth

Spellslice Behemoth can't attack.

Whenever Spellslice Behemoth deals damage to a creature, counter target spell unless its controller pays

,: Spellslice Behemoth deals 2 damage to each creature without flying

4/4

The way I want this to work (I'm not sure if it does) is if there are 4 creatures on the battlefield, counter target spell unless controller pays (or counter 4 spells unless controller pays for each, etc)
