So one of the types of Jace that Mark Rosewater has tried to design is one that plays up Jace's ability to make Illusions. So I made this Jace as an attempt to capture what a planeswalker who made Illusions do. It is a bit narrow, so I'll take whatever advice you all give.

Jace, Illusory Master

+1: Put a 0/1 blue Illusion creature token with "When this creature blocks or becomes blocked, sacrifice it." onto the battlefield.

-X: Put an Illusion creature with converted mana cost X from your hand onto the battlefield

-8: You get an emblem with "Illusion creatures you control get +2/+2, gain flying and hexproof."

Thoughts?

lower the cost to 3 or 4. 5 is WAY too much for what this does.

It's super limited, and it doesn't really make much sense for Jace. Sure, Illusions are a large part of what Jace does, but they're just a tool for capitalizing on the mind manipulation that is his trademark. An entirely Illusion-centric Jace is pretty bad both canonically and functionally.

The ultimate could be something along the lines of "You get an emblem with 'Whenever you sacrifice an illusion creature, draw 2 cards,'" That fits in with theme of Jace learning from them. Could could vary the number of cards drawn (maybe draw X cards where X is it's toughness) or remove the illusion clause (although that's a more black ability; could we ever get a UB Jace?!).

Perhaps more fitting would be having a minus ability that reads "Draw a card for each illusion you control," or "Look at the top X cards of your library where X is the number of illusions you control. Put them back in any order. Draw a card." You could even start messing with the top of your opponent's library!

First ability seems way too underpowered. How about: put 0/1 illusion tokens onto the battlefield equal to the number of cards in your hand.

The second one seems incredibly situational. Maybe do it: draw cards equal to the number of illusions you control.

Third ability seems really cool.

I'm not sure about 1st and 3rd, the second one definitely needs changing though.
