BLABLABLA~~ 2rr

creature- person man

t: deal 2 combat damage to anything

3/3

"Deal two combat damage to anything"

That is confusing...

April 25, 2015 7:41 p.m.

sigh. deal 2 combat damage to target creature or player. happy?

April 25, 2015 7:43 p.m.

No, not the formatting (who gives a crap about that kind of stuff? NOT ME :) ), but "combat damage" is supposed to be just for combat, not for normal damage. And what's the difference? I mean, if the card had a relevant ability around combat damage, sure, but it has no use here.

I think FAMOUSWATERMELON questioning the fact that it is combat damage, not just regular damage, because they are different

FAMOUSWATERMELON, you posted just a few seconds before me, and now my comment looks weird... But a card that specificly did combat damage on tap could be cool, since there are enchantments and stuff that say, "Whenever enchanted creature does combat damage...", but I don't know what the rules say about it

April 25, 2015 7:48 p.m.

yup, thats the EXACT reason.

You can't just write "combat damage" and have it work. Combat damage is only damage dealt during combat as a result of the combat damage step(s). This card doesn't work in the rules.

Card rules come b4 rule rules. it says so in da rules.

DERPLINGSUPREME - while true, there are some things that shouldn't be touched. This is one of those things.

I think that something like "T: ~ deals 2 damage to target creature or player. Treat all damage dealt in this way as combat damage." is technically ok, but probably shouldn't be done

April 25, 2015 8:03 p.m.

yes. THAT is good. or it could be:

Tap: untap this creature. you get an extra attack phase with another main phase after that. this ability may only be used once a turn. you may only attack with this creature once a turn. when you do the thing with this creature on its extra attack phase, it is the only one who may attack. you choose how creatures block that attack phase. this creature won't take any damage in this phase. it will only do 2 total damage instead of 3.

April 25, 2015 8:07 p.m.

Well, that works, but a) it's really wordy, and b) deathtouch

Now that just sound's like a yu-gi-oh card

April 25, 2015 8:10 p.m.

Programmer_112 deathtouch still works with the origianl design anyways.

True, but choosing how creatures block is generally really, really good and restricted to cards with higher mana costs so as to prevent 1-sided boardwipes.

April 25, 2015 8:14 p.m.

BUT only 1 guy can block him.

also,

April 25, 2015 8:14 p.m.

Where does it say that only 1 creature can block him?

April 25, 2015 8:18 p.m.

oops, 4got 2 put that there

April 25, 2015 8:21 p.m.

Also, your ability is weird against stuff like Propaganda. I don't think you can fix this problem, so I would stay away from that wording
