So today I got to thinking of possibilities for EDH commanders and stumbled upon thr thought..

"What would a Legendary Homunculus look and play like?"

With almost all Homunculi being (the exception is Court Homunculus) I decided to try and see what everyone thought of my idea. Please feel free to critique away at him

Uud, the Progressive Thought -

Legendary Creature - Homunculus

Defender, Hexproof

All nontoken creatures gain Defender.

At the beginning of your upkeep Scry X, where X is the amount of creatures you control with Defender, then draw a card.

0/5

So what does everyone think? I didnt want him too strong but wanted to force the user to make a more creature based deck while still attempting to search for possible combo pieces and what not.

Take out the draw-card and I think it would be more fair. Scry X is strong for what you're trying to accomplish. It definitely stalls the game until someone combos or boardwipes lol

I would absolutely run Rite of Replication w this. Solid work!

Thanks greyninja! I didnt know if the card draw clause would push it over the limit but I must say this would make games interesting. Turning Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and the like into nothing more than pretty battlefield decorations and stops Aggro EDH decks like Xenagos, God of Revels in their tracks

Make it an artifact so that Green (the color that's going to have the most trouble with this) can hit it with a destroy all artifacts card. Other than that I like it.
