Little Idea (is it balanced/cool?)

Basically just a little "fantasy" card I thought up because it would be awesome to have this in my bloodrush + trample + infect deck, Blood-Born Pathogen.
There's no real need for this card in MtG, but I'd like to know if something like this would be balanced.
Also, is it a cool idea, a dumb idea, or do you just hate infect players? (lol)
Also also, if anybody would like to tell me, or link me to, how to post a picture in a post here, I'll edit the post for ease of viewing.

I think that the normal casting cost is too high. Make it one lower. I personally think that ability is fine, seen that Tainted Strike basically does the same thing.

I would make the ability cost more. By convention, bloodrush pumps by the power/toughness of the creature with bloodrush, and if it was an 0/1, it wouldn't be playable on its own. I would say either make the ability cost and make the snake a 1/2 or make the ability cost at the risk of being a bit overpowered. I like the idea though.

8vomit, the bloodrush ability always grants the creature's power/toughness, in addition to any special abilities, to the target attacking creature. This means if I made the bonus +0/+1, then the Serpent-of-the-Valley would have to be an 0/1 infect creature, which is actually an interesting idea. Considering that the only difference between this creature and Glistener Elf is the bloodrush ability, either way could be balanced, probably.
FAMOUSWATERMELON, good point, but this card is actually like a mash-up of Tainted Strike and Glistener Elf. Wouldn't that bump the price up 1 mana?
ABadMagicPlayer100, an 0/1 infect creature could be playable, just beef it up in the same manner you would any 1/1 infect creature, and it would just deal one less damage. The tradeoff to that would be you can also use this card to add infect and +1 toughness to any creature. Also, bloodrush very rarely costs more than the creature's actual casting cost.
jandrobard, finally, true wisdom is spoken... lol, j/k, everybody's input was very good. Thanks all.

Id make it +0/+1 or make it 3 mana to use to ability. But it really doesnt seem too op really.
