Custom Cards forum

Okay, in trying to make tap lands better than entering to gain a life or scry, I have come up with draw lands.
They look like this:
Yeah they're pretty strong, drawing a card off a land drop is really good. Not only that, they're dual-colored lands. You'd have to make the cost fairly steep to balance that out, but that's a tough line to walk

maybe sack one of the land types (like a forest or a plains) in order to play it, and then pay two life for the draw

ShamaLamaDingDong: I am working on an allied colored set, so I am trying to come up with reasonable dual lands that haven't already been made.
In regard to the rest, what about simply a pay 3 life option? I'd rather not destroy a land.

Epochalyptik: So it should read "When Clearing of Serenity enters the battlefield, you may pay 3 life. If you do, draw a card." Yes?

I have a weird land idea.
(Name)
Land - Swamp Mountain (Or anything else)
(Name) enters the battlefield tapped unless you pay .
It would be so if you are in desperate need of that color mana, you could tap one of your other color lands. It would be kind of like a variant of shocklands. This would probably be uncommon because it is not too powerful.

Oh yeah, and about your lands, paying 3 life sounds better than just 1.

The wording is backwards. The cost is the option, and if you pay the cost, you get the effect.
Also, these are kinda strong.
