The flavor text would be in quotes. X would also be in a mana symbol. So I'm pretty sure this isn't real.

Well damn, I wish I had this feedback earlier, he he. Just trying to get my art out there. Are those the most glaring things? As for the X thing, Harsh Sustenance does not use the X symbol, but uses the letter X. But you are right about the quotation marks.

More completely:
- The first X would be like in Hero of Leina Tower or Logic Knot.
- "First Strike" would be "First strike", with strike not capitalized. See Abattoir Ghoul and Alesha, Who Smiles at Death.
- Flavor text would be "The enemy may or may not... will always be." with the quotation marks around the quote part.
- The spacing between card text and flavor text would also most like be better. They may not even have put flavor text on a card this crowded.
- The spacing between "Creature - Human Monk" is off, more like "Creature -Human Monk", without the space after the dash.
- Some of the coloring on the bottom seems strange
- The font seems a little weird as well, but that could just be me.

ChiefBell and/or Epochalyptik will be around to move this to the Custom Cards forum where it belongs.
As for the card, it needs either Flash or First Strike, but not both. It's too good with both AND the tax/counter ability.

NuclearWarrior As for the thing about Harsh Sustenance not having the mana-symbol X, that's because it doesn't refer to spending mana, while your ability would want to be:
"Whenever ~ becomes the target of a spell, you may pay 
. If you do, counter that spell unless its controller pays ."
Harsh Sustenance's Xs refer to damage, not mana, and therefore do not use for that reason.

accelerando, thanks for clarification. I was mostly wrapped up in trying to make the art good, I should have paid more attention to detail on the wording. And if the powers that be feel this is necessary to delete, feel free to do that to. Not that you need my permission.

Well, frankly, the art is pretty good. Good enough to make this look real, at least. Unfortunately it loses credit with the formatting (which I enjoy doing, if I'm being honest. I know it's weird that I enjoy formatting cards, but when I have friends that don't have a clue when it comes to doing it...).

As a further aside, you should specify when it's a card you made. Which first shows up by putting it in the right forum, and second by saying "This is a card I made, isn't it cool!"

Seriously harassing an unpolular user for posting a fan made card during spoilers week is unacceptable. I remember joining Tappedout two years ago and it has become increasingly judgemental and offensive. Responding snarkily to NuclearWarrior for posting his own created card in the spoilers forum is rude VampireArmy. I hate seeing unknown users get tormented for posting in the wrong forum where Epoch can easily move it to the appropriote column. At least be civil enought to comment politely, even if it is spoiling season

RJ, I appreciate the support, but I'm fine. I understand why people would get mad. I just want to get my art out there, but apparently this wasn't the place/way to do it. I don't like making people feel dumb or anything. I don't normally do stuff like this. In the off (very off) chance that this took off, maaaaaaybe someone at Wizards art dept. would notice it, who knows. Sorry if this post gave anybody a negative feeling.

In fairness to you: The card looks very good, and actually something that I wouldn't hate to see printed. It was difficult for me to distinguish at first glance the difference between it and an actual card, and it was good enough that MythicSpoiler actually had it on their site for about 30 seconds before they realized it was fake.
However, this was not the time, not the place, and not the way to go about introducing your project. Do you understand?

Out of everyone in this thread RJ_Rozzman, you are the one being the most aggressive. It is a no-no to post a custom card in the spoilers section especially when it has a name, casting cost, flavor text, and set symbol of the set coming out in two weeks. As far as I can tell, no one in this thread said anything that would indicate harassment towards NuclearWarrior. Also, VampireArmy was the first person to ask future posters to not dog-pile on NuclearWarrior for posting in the wrong forum. So singling him out is poor form on your part.

RJ_Rozzman If I may say something. I detect no harassment or hostility toward NuclearWarrior. In fact this has been civilly dealt with, perhaps with a little humour, but nothing malicious. Now, technically what NuclearWarrior did is wrong, especially because it is spoiler season. Now, I won't make a judgement on whether or not this was intentional, but I would advise against this type of posting in the future. However, the issue has been clearly dealt with so let this be the final word on it. There really is no cause for anger here.

You guys are spurning an unpopular user. Using phrases like "we have a forum for that" is ostracizing and excluding to the forum. There is no rule against posting fake spoilers and calling his behavior "unnaceptable" is very rude. It is a game some love alot and some dabble with. To call out a mistake like this with such hostility is just rude. It is a post to an inappropriote column, not a big issue. There is no helpful notions, only demands that the post be moved. JWiley129, I apologize as that your comments were helpful, those were not pertaining to my comments. It is disapointing, however, that top users would rather command a fix and wisecrack at an unpopular user than advise him to a greater knowledge of the game and of the website

It's supposed to be Ojutai in the same pose as the guy, and the guy is copying his martial arts form. Originally, my idea was to make this dude someone who trained the dragon (yes, as a spoof/joke on the movie), but went another way instead.

First, NuclearWarrior, do not post fake cards or otherwise player-made cards in SRS. This forum is specifically for the discussion of future cards, as is indicated by the forum description. It is not for generating feedback for your custom card ideas or artwork. There are other, acceptable venues for this sort of activity.
That said, I do commend the desire to get yourself recognized for your art. I suggest instead using a dedicated art forum for exposure. There's less chance for confusion, and there's a greater likelihood of garnering attention and feedback relevant to your pursuits.

@RJ_Rozzman: Do not white knight here. Although it's noble and commendable to want to stand up for users who are being harassed, that's not what is happening here. Do not artificially escalate issues.
What VampireArmy said is hardly offensive or ostracizing, especially given the circumstances. The same goes for the other responses.
Oh, and there doesn't need to be a rule against something to make it unacceptable.

NuclearWarrior i just wanted to say a few things for clarification. The first is that i never intended once to be rude to you, berate you, or make you feel like you did some sort of evil thing. I'm just a lighthearted person and when i originally posted the no no connent, it was meant to be playful but with purpose. I apologize if i wasn't clear on that.
To RJ i know the community can be unforgiving and dogpiles happen a little often and i tried to prevent one. I'm not very good at keeping people in line though so i leave it to epoch as much as i can
Further note: this card was really good. It was good enough to actually fool several groups of people. You know it's got quality when that happens. Work on your formatting and I'm positive you'll get noticed even more than this even if not by wotc by soneone else.

Shory answer, yes he would be too powerful as a 2/2 in combination with all of those abilities. I would even play a 2/2 with that tax ability, to be honest. I have a casual 
/
enchantment deck (more or less heroic) that would love this guy.
Long answer: If you are really keen on keeping the stats as is, I could see a mana increase as the best solution. Probably by only 1 or 2, but an increase that I think defeats the purpose of the design - a human being trained by a dragon.

To be honest i think he's fine the way he is if you remove flash. 2/2 first strikers with abilities have been fairly common in recent history

But on that note as well, I never did understand the purpose of flash too much on this. I get the first strike and even the tax ability, but I think remove flash and this could be a solid card.

The point of the flash, along with the X ability was to make him decent against control. I don't think this card is too powerful per se, but, I do understand how it's not an elegant design - just, too many things going on.
