Overcomplicated Card Designers Needed!

Custom Cards forum

First of all, not entirely sure if this should go in Challenges, but I figured that this is mostly custom cards, so... Sorry in advance Epoch.

I want you guys to create some complicated cards. And not just complicated, but terribly overcomplicated cards with multiple interactions. Also, please no joke cards guys. GO!

I Do Silly Things -
Legendary Enchantment

Each player can't cast more than one spell each turn.

If you would draw a card, instead exile the top two cards of your library face down.

Whenever you cast a spell, exile your hand face up, then return all cards exiled face down from I Do Silly Things to your hand. Exile all cards exiled face up from I Do Silly Things face down.

I just noticed how similar lemmingllama's and I cards are.

April 10, 2015 7:02 p.m.

My inspiration is a card I wish they would revisit, Camouflage. I love the concept, the execution is just a little wonky because of the later introduction of Morph and face-down cards. But now here's a much wonkier version that tries to introduce Morph and multiplayer instead of working around it!

Tigerstripe Camouflage - Enchantment - 2GG

During your declare attackers step, you may choose any number of creatures to attack. For each opponent, declare which creatures are attacking them and put them in a face down pile. Shuffle each pile made this way. Your opponent may choose any number of creatures to block. After blockers are declared, remove the top card of each attacking pile and put it on the battlefield face down being blocked by a creature that opponent controls. If a blocker has already been assigned to a face-down card this way, the attacking creature is unblocked instead. At the end of this Declare Blockers phase, turn all cards that were turned face-down during your Declare Attackers phase face-up. If this produces an illegal block, such as a non-flying creature blocking a flying creature, prevent all combat damage dealt to the attacking creature and assign its combat damage as though it were not blocked.

Spellteaming

3WB

Legendary Tribal Enchantment - Shapeshifter

When Spellteaming enters the battlefield, remove target noncreature permanent from the game until end of turn.

Instant and Sorcery spells you control have banding. (They may be declared as blockers as they are cast. If a creature with trample is blocked this way, X of its combat damage is assigned to the spell, where X is the difference between its CMC and the spell's CMC. Spells dealt damage this way become Y/Y creatures with no abilities, where Y is the number of spells cast this turn plus 2. They gain "whenever this creature is damaged, you may sacrifice it. If you do, exile the spell and then cast it from exile without paying its mana cost. You lose life equal to its CMC minus Z, where Z is the number of creatures you control that were placed on the battlefield as a result of spells being dealt damage by trample.

Whenever you cast a spell during combat, choose target creature you control. It gains B of the following abilities, chosen at random, where B is the number of spells played since the beginning of the last turn:

Lifelink, Banding, Substance, Bands with Others, Double Strike, Deathtouch, Absorb 3, Fateseal 1, Defender, Rampage 4, Outlast.

Yeah... coicidence? I THINK NOT!!!

Mana Accountants: 0

Global Enchantment

When Mana Bankers enters the battlefield, each player puts a token enchantment called "ledger" onto the battlefield with two counters on it set to 10, one on the left side, and one on the right side, and the following abilities:

2: Increase the left counter by 1 and decrease the right counter by 1.

Increase the right counter by 1 and decrease the left counter by 1: add one mana of any color to your mana pool.

If, at any time the sum of both counters does not equal 20, you receive an emblem called "White Collar Crime," which reads "skip your turn unless you sacrifice a land, discard a card, and pay 1 life."

"Nobody screws with MY Ledgers!"

Egann I assume the player who's emblem had the counters equal to something other than 20 receives the White Collar Crime, otherwise you just gave each opponent a way to get 10 free mana of any color without any downside to themselves.

When Shatterer of Minds enters the battlefield target player puts the top four cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard. If two or more land cards were placed into the graveyard by Shatterer of Minds, that player puts the top 4 cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.

If two or more creatures are put into the graveyard by Shatterer of Minds, that player puts the top 4 cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.

If eight or more land or creature cards are placed into the graveyard from Shatterer of Minds, target player shuffles his or her graveyard into his or her library then exiles the top X cards of his or her library, where X is the amount of cards shuffled into his or her library from his or her graveyard.

Whenever a player casts an instant or sorcery spell, that player exiles a land they control. If the spell resolves, exile it and pair it with the exiled land.

Whenever a player plays a land, if that player has a land that shares a name exiled by Silly Things #3 in exile, they may cast any number of spells paired with those lands. Then return those lands to the battlefield from exile.

Instant Tribal

Changeling

Choose three target creatures an opponent controls that are not owned by a another opponent.

If two of the creatures are the same color then exile them unless each of the creatures shares exactly one color with every other creature on the battlefield that are controlled by their owner. If the exiled creatures have the same comverted mana cost but different mana costs and are the same color then choose one of them at random and return it to the battlefield under your control.

If none of the creatures share a color then each player draw cards equal the the highest cmc of a card they own that is under a different player's control.

Gain life equal to the combined power of the choosen creatures.

This is one of the cards that came about after reading through all of the old cards that made no sense and deciding to rival them.

virtual insanity cannot be countered.

Start a seperate game with new magic decks and all the same players. In that magic game, creatures may attack during other player's aside from their controller's attack steps. Creatures may not attack during their controller's turn. whenever a player plays a card or taps a land for mana, they may untap target creature they control until the next player's next upkeep (use clockwise), at which point it becomes tapped. If a player would lose the game during this extra game, instead have them take their board from the original game and transfer it to the new game. The keep their life total from the other game when they enter, and they may choose to pick a new seat to sit in, unless it would violate any effects currently in play in the secondary game. The secondary game ends once all players have been killed when using each of their individual decks. If a card would be put into the graveyard from anywhere, instead put it into the hand of the next player (use clockwise to determine who is the next player from the reference point of whom the player whos ability this is). The effect of this card may not be prevented or errated by R&D.

I went hardcore and went true to overly complicated cards being such old ones. It seems like most of these cards are kinda hard to read so I'll post the text version here too.

You may tap lands under opponents control as if they were your own. You can only tap them for mana, but if you pay an additional 2 life you can tap them for an activated ability. Triggered abilities that would target those lands controllers would instead target you. Opponents can not tap lands in response to you using this ability. Whenever mana in an opponents mana pool would empty, deal 2 damage to that opponent for each mana that would empty.

I love commanders so of course this dude is a legend :3
