Paint Brush Horde

Custom Cards forum

Thought of this because I said "paint brush horde", so I had to make a card out of it.

Paint brush horde

Creature - Construct

Defender

Whenever Paint Brush Horde blocks a creature, that creature becomes the color of your choice until end of turn.

0/4

this is terrible.

make it cost and it would be fine. that way it could stop aggro.

if you wanna keep the cost I'd make it a 1/7 or something. Something with power.

DERPLINGSUPREME, I was trying to make it a common or something of lower rarity from rare, so terrible stats was indirectly my goal.

Yeah, seems fine to me. It isn't a bomb or anything, but not every custom card in the world has to be awesome.

Seems like an uncommon card at the moment. It's an 0/4 for 1 with an ability which doesn't do anything on it's own. Good card, either uncommon or rare.

Personally, I would make it's ability read "whenever paint brush horde blocks a creature, you may pay X. If you do, the blocked creature becomes the colors of the spent mana until end of turn."

This way you have to actually color the card, so to speak.

I'm considering making it a 0/1 with indestructible, defender, and the same ability for . I'm trying to make it a worse Painter's Servant, so to speak.

What do you think, is too little? Is indestructible the too OP for a common or uncommon?

It depends a lot on the cards around it. If +1/+1 counters or powerful auras are a thing, it could get out of hand fast. If it's not, an indestructible 0/1 with an ability for 2 is probably fine.

What about:
Paint Brush Hoard
Artifact
: target nonland permanent becomes the color of your choice until end of turn.
