Infect (This creature deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters and to players in the form of poison counters.)
Spells you control have infect.
Whenever a spell you control deals damage to a creature or player, sacrifice that many permanents.

Thoughts : busted? too much of a drawback? This card would be rare, possibly mythic depending on the lore of what's going on.

I will jam 4 copies of this in mono red legacy burn all day all night.
Turn three, have this on board from the prior turn, Flame Rift, in response to the sac trigger Fireblast, do 2 poison from some other card, GG even faster than before? Seems hyper good.

but in that scenario, you;re losing all of your lands plus the creature that allows infect too :P Doesn't seem that busted to me cuz then you gotta rebuild and draw into more infect sources

Nah, that clause is enough to make it fringe playable in non-legacy. I think it's fine. The drawback definitely makes it too bad for standard though. Like, Soulfire Grand Master doesn't even see much play, and that has zero drawback.

I want to say busted, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like the draw back is too much.

The thing is: Why would I even want to play it over Blighted Agent or Phyrexian Crusader?

Definitely rare. I think the design is balanced. It obviously wouldn't fit in the simic infect decks, and I doubt burn would want to go down this route. But, still an awesome design that people like me would love to toy with.

It seems like a fun card. Acidic Soil seems like a decent EDH combo with it, given that you have a sac outlet for your lands.
I think it's a pretty fair card, but my gut says busted. Can't think of anything that'll support my gut, though.
