In the card creation challenge, I just came up with a design of a legendary viking I really liked, and I wanted to have it show on an actual card. What are your thoughts on the design?
Flavourwise, he is a Viking King who leads his warriors to raids on villages. Every viking brings treasure in the form of artifacts from your deck, while burning down everything else, shown as putting it into the grave.

This is awesome. I didn’t consider the flavor of the Vikings bringing the artifacts back when dealing damage - thats so cool! Make more

SynergyBuild: I do get your point, but stealing from opponents' decks really doesn't feel Naya, and I actually like the new possibilities for Naya here. Coastal Piracy is more or less that ability, so I really feel it's ok like that. What I really want to change is widening the scope. I already thought about the problem you'll run into with him: You'll mill away many important creatures in a colour that doesn't have much recursion. Changing it to artifact or creature seems fine. Considering vikings often took women with them from their raids, this would perfectly make sense flavourwise.
Daveslab2022: Maybe leave some suggestions, more vikings are a good thing.

seshiro_of_the_orochi actually naya having red makes sense for this, and white does a fair share of stealing too, not a ton, and both really only steal creatures (red has cards like Treasure Nabber, so maybe taking inspiration from that effect) could work. Milling yourself and getting artifacts just doesn't feel naya to me either, right?

SynergyBuild: Maybe give me a wording that isn't overly clunky, would you? I don't have an actual idea, and I'd love to see your idea.
Milling yourself isn't very Naya mechanically, indeed. The flavour is very strong here though, so I feel that this bend is ok

SynergyBuild I agree that Naya shouldn’t mill the cards to the grave but cards like Militia Bugler have similar effects.
Just throw them to the bottom like Bugler, lol.
As far as suggestions go, I would love to see a Viking in a similar vein but they “kidnap” enemy creatures. Something like Thief of Sanity but only for creatures.
Idk how you flavorfully fit that into Naya however lmao, good luck.

Daveslab2022: This would actually work without a colour change...I'll consider it.
TypicalTimmy: Great to hear you like it :)
DeinoStinkus: Well, I guess I could, but it wasn't planned to begin with. There's a lot of positive feedback, so maybe I'll go that direction.

TypicalTimmy: I like the general idea of that, but it doesn't really feel special. Triggering on dealing combat damage is widely referred to as "saboteur", and just because you link that to gaining control of something, it doesn't seem keywordable. I like the name a lot though. I'll try to come up with something fitting.
DeinoStinkus: Could you elaborate?

I love this card! To address milling in Naya, I think it's a fine bend, but I also think it would work perfectly well if the unpicked cards went on the bottom of the library. I don't think throwing cards in the GY makes this card make more sense flavorfully.

DeinoStinkus: I understand. I'm not exactly sure if an uncounzerable steal effect would be better, though.
abby315: I'm feeling pretty flattered to get that much positive feedback on my design. Thank you very much. This is a good reasoning. Guess I'll change that.

DeinoStinkus: The wording on Wakening Sun's Avatar should be used for that case I guess.

After getting rid of the Milling in the triggered ability, I did some changes to make cheating less easy with Rollo.

I feel like picking from their deck would be more like raiding, perhaps tossing them into exile and they can be cast as long as you control a Viking?
Additionally, widening the scope of the choices to nonland permanent card seems more fitting, or perhaps artifact, enchantment, instant, or sorcery if you'd rather go for non-character cards. Maybe even lands that can be played if you want to show them stealing land!
