Several New Cards
Custom Cards forum

I am very frequently designing new cards, so here are several of my latest designs.
Angelic Intervention Show
As far as I am concerned, the fact that Heroic Intervention is not white is blasphemy, so I have made a white version of that card. I know that white usually does not grant hexproof to permanents, only to players, but I believe that this is an acceptable exception, especially when one considers how greatly green has been intruding into white's section of the color pie, recently.
Gabriel's Horn Show
The archangel Gabriel is a popular figure in Christian folklore, but, as with any centuries-old stories, depictions of him vary greatly; however, one common trait in all of his stories is that he has a horn that he uses for various purpsoes, but, again, the exact abilities of his horn vary depending upon the story, so I chose my own abilities for my depiction of Gabriel's horn. I originally had given this card a cost of only , but I decided that that was too low of a cost for such a powerful card. I also had planned to give this card a fourth ability, one that would return a creature card with converted mana cost X or less from its owner's graveyard to the battlefield, but I decided that the horn was already sufficiently powerful as it is.
Praetors' Scepter Show
Magistrate's Scepter is an awesome card, but the reason for which I do not have it in my Atraxa, Praetors' Voice EDH deck is that it requires too heavy of an investment in mana before the player can profit from it, even in a deck that has numerous sources of proliferation; when a player casts that card, there is no way that their opponents will not seek to destroy it immediately. Therefore, I have created a variant of it that utilizes my fondness for Phyrexian mana to help ease the costs of that card, and I chose to use blue Phyrexian mana, because blue is the color that most commonly can grant additional turns.
Magus of the Rack Show
This card is a creature version of Scroll Rack, which I only recently released is an amazing card; it has the same converted mana cost as the original artifact, because it does not have haste and therefore cannot be used on the same turn on which it is summoned, unless it is granted haste by another source. I originally planned to make it a 2/2, but I decided to instead make it a 1/3, because the controller of this creature will almost never attack with it, unless they are truly desperate.
What does everyone else here say about these cards? Do you like them?

TheOfficialCreator, what do you suggest that I do to make it more balanced?

Nah, Horn is fine in a vacuum. Can you ramp 100 mana into X? Sure. But then you're talking about a combo deck and you can't base a card off of combo potentials. In a vacuum, it takes a lot of investment to see benefit. I think it's fine.
The issue is the last ability. You get an Angel every turn for just . I would recommend bumping it to . That's 6 mana for a single 4/4 flyer which is perfectly on par with normal costs of creatures, albeit it's a total of and not , but the argument for the pip reduction is that it isn't a spell and you need it on field to even use.

TypicalTimmy, given that Serra Angel costs 5 mana to summon, would be an acceptable cost for the final ability?

DemonDragonJ, it is a tap ability so it needs setup to be abused. I'd say sure!

TypicalTimmy, in that case, here is my new version of the card:
Gabriel's Horn Show
I actually decided to put two white mana symbols in the third ability, because the ability is a heavily white ability. Now, what do you think of it?

DemonDragonJ No problem! I've always been a huge fan of your work. You and seshiro_of_the_orochi were really the ones who got me into custom cards.

Did I hear my name? ;D
May I suggest a change of name for Magus of The Rack for obvious reasons? Maybe calls it Magus of the Scrolls? Yed, I know there is Azami, Lady of Scrolls, but I'd suspect else with that name.

As for Heroic Intervention and who gives hexproof to permanents; green doesn't actually give hexproof to their permanents with the possible exception of Veil of Summer which is specifically against .
The only other times is Privileged Position - hello white - and it is in Simic Charm. So green doesn't really provide their non-creatures hexproof either.
White however has some history of giving especially their enchantments either protection or shroud.
So if anything it makes more sense that white would get the multiple card type defense mechanisms over green - yes, Heroic Intervention not being white is indeed blasphemous.

Depending on the format the Horn is introduced, I think the angel generating ability is a bit much for Standard and Limited. However it fits fine in Commander and possibly Modern sets, the latter with either a sufficient amount of removal, tempo, or power.
It could be considered to have the angel generation have a clause for "doesn't untap during your next untap step." or "cannot be activated if it has been activated since the beginning of your last turn." - effectively skipping a turn and makes incentive to put more into X at a time to get more out of it.

seshiro_of_the_orochi, Magus of the Library could be referring to either Sylvan Library or Library of Alexandria.

Yeah! They're really nice! Gabriel's Horn seems super overpowered though.
