Story Circle is a wonderful card, but it has not been reprinted in many years, nor have any cards similar to it been printed, recently, so I wish to pay a homage to it with my own creations, as seen, below:
Shroud of Benevolence Show
This card adds the effect of Awe Strike and/or Hallow to story circle, and, as such, is more expensive to both cast and activate.
Shroud of Malevolence Show
This card is more aggressive than the other, being very similar to, yet very different from, it at the same time.
What does everyone think of these cards?

I like them both, especially the malevolance. I think that the malevolence thing is so Orzhov, it could be printed as is in the next Ravnica (naturally, tweaked for balance - more on this below). The problem with these is they are obnoxious in draft. I think they are still too cheap. I would increase the converted mana cost to 5 and even then they are still slam-dunk bombs in limited.
Now, I think there is a way to balance this for limited and wotc has done this recently with Profane Procession Flip, which functions similarly to these prevention effects.
Another issue with these is that they have not been reprinted in a while - perhaps wotc has retired this mechanic on an enchantment all together. Last I remeber it was printed on a rare in Khans of Tarkir and it was a one-time use instant.
TLDR: Good cards, but not for standard sets. Probably in the next commander set though.
