Custom Cards forum

Saw Bellock86 and MagicalHacker posting custom planeswalker tutoring cards and though what if Captain Sisay got the spark, become a planeswalker and continued her ways in planeswalker style. Is that last ability too op? At least I made it so that it's not the easiest one to do, thanks to -7. Opinions?

Maybe make the ult an ability any player can use, but a -5?

I like it! I think those first two abilities could be made into one, then a -2 ability added that does the ultimate for one of those types, then the ultimate to do Sisay's new thing Nissa Revane style. Not sure what the starting loyalty would be at that point though. So basically this:

Sisay, Caller of Comrades

Planeswalker - Sisay

+1: Search your library for a legendary creature or planeswalker card, reveal it, put it in your hand, then shuffle your library. (MTG Grammar is probably off.)

-2: Put a legendary creature or planeswalker from your hand onto your battlefield.

-7: Search your library for any number of legendary creature and/or planeswalker cards and put them onto the battlefield.

That sounds pretty great idea too, though it would be even more op. -2 especially. I mean, You could basically cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn with Sisays manacost and you would still be left Sisay with 2 loyalty counters.

BTW, you changed the +1 so that it's just legendary creatures, not any legendary card like the original Sisay has.

I also though that the first two abilities could be made into one but I couldn't figure out more abilities that would fit the theme.

Oh crap, you're right lol.

Some changes:

Sisay, Caller of Comrades

Planeswalker - Sisay

+1: Search your library for a Legendary or Planeswalker card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.

-X: Put a Legendary or Planeswalker card with converted mana cost X from your hand or graveyard onto the battlefield.

-10: Search your library for any number of Legendary and/or Planeswalker cards, put them onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library.

I think the wording is really off in -x part but I don't know how to make it any better :''D

Also, I think that this ultimate is better because yours is just way over the top.

Well I didn't want to have to rely on having cards in your hand cause at that point, it's just a "win more" card. What about exiling the top ten cards and putting all legendary and planeswalker cards from among those onto the battlefield?

Also, for second ability, I'd word it "where X is that half that card's converted mana cost, rounded up. "

It was intentionally rounded down :)

I personally like mine more because with +2 you can tutor the best ones and the use the ultimatum.

Idk that wording is a bit off. How about

Choose one:

  • Put any number of planeswalkers from your hand onto the battlefield.

  • Put any number of legendary cards from your hand onto the battlefield.

Forgetting the wording, this is a great card!
