Hidden Pulsebeam
Instant
Choose a creature with hexproof, shroud, indestructible, or regenerate. It's owner sacrifices it.
Unseen Pulsewave
Sorcery
Destroy all permanents with shroud or hexproof, then each player sacrifices each permanent with indestructible or regenerate he or she controls.
Before you assume I hate not being able to deal with hexproof or whatever, I just want you to know that I designed these because I wanted to see if designing cards that affect the opposite "non-destroyable" permanents.
Thoughts?

Yeah you're right! Also, I should just unify Unseen Pulsewave to it just being sacrifice.

In hidden pulsework you are targeting hexproof and shroud which wouldn't work if you switch it so that target opponent chooses a creature they control with those keywords and sacs it

I'm just wondering how you're targeting a creature with shroud or hexproof. Might wanna include a clause that says, for instance, "this card can target creatures with shroud or hexproof".

Clone targets creatures with hexproof, so I believe it's worded the proper way...

The thing is, that Hidden Pulsebeam chooses a creature. Which is not the same as target.

Just like how Council's Judgment gets around Shroud and Hexproof.

Okay, so everyone is clear about how this gets around shroud and hexproof?

I'm still unclear council's judgement potentially hits multiples so it is more like a mini boardwipe. Whereas this is choosing a single creature. Making that creature a target for the spell. With judgement I could pick a Dungrove Elder and everyone else could choose Grave Titan so my choice wasn't a "target"

A spell only targets a permanent if that spell specifically reads target... If the spell doesn't have the word target on it, it doesn't target anything.

Let's say you have two Elvish Lookouts. If you cast Cached Defenses, you do get to bolster, because you don't choose a "target".

Basically it literally comes down to a single word.
If the word "target" is present, then it can't affect something with Hexproof or Shroud (with exceptions).
If the word "target" is not present, then it can.

I might be mistaken, but the first one seems like it would only work if it targeted, i.e. Mercy Killing. "Choosing" seems to usually be restricted to some value, although maybe it would work?

Cool idea! I'm opposed to the second one, but the first I really like!

I think they might be plausible... Pretty cool idea...
Note: in the Hidden Pulsebeam, it should read 'it's controller sacrifices it' instead of it's owner...
