2WW Planeswalker - Takeno

+1: Put a 1/1 samurai token onto the battlefield, it has bushido 1.

-2: Put a bushido counter on each creature you control. Each creature with a bushido counter becomes a samurai in addition to its other types and gains bushido 1.

-7: Exile all non token creatures. For each creature exiled this way, put a 1/1 samurai token with bushido 1 onto the battlefield under your control.

For your consideration, in addition to *its other types.

You could easily reduce the cost of the ultimate, it isn't potent enough to require four straight turns of plusing just to get it. I'd probably drop it down to 5.

Also why does the ultimate exile the planeswalker? Is it a lore reason? Either way, it seems completely unnecessary.

It is not potent enough? It exiles the entire board of every opponent no matter what and YOU get tokens for that. Not potent enough? I do think that that ultimate is very potent. It turns a 10-10 stalemate into a 20-0 favor of yours that most likely is a kill next turn.

True, but let's look at some other planeswalkers and their ultimates.

Chandra, the Firebrand kills your opponent and all their creatures, and for less overall loyalty.

Elspeth Tirel blows up all other permanents other than tokens and lands, but survives herself. She also does this the turn after she comes down, which is fairly relevant.

Nissa Revane reads "put my deck in play, then win the game".

I'm not saying that it isn't a bad ultimate, just that in constructed, it will take far too long to actually go off and it certainly doesn't guarantee you to win the game.

Yesterday missed that error haha.

lemmingllama I didn't want to be over zealous on the ultimate cost. No particular reason for exile of himself either.

wait i'm confused, I'm not seeing the part about exiling himself just non token creatures.
