Reflection of Shadows
Legendary Artifact - Equipment
Whenever equipped nontoken creature you control dies, if it was destroyed by a spell, ability or permanent an opponent controls you may exile the creature with a soul counter on it.
, : Create a token copy of target creature with mana value X you own in exile with a soul counter on it and attach Reflection of Shadows to it. It is a spirit in addition to it's other types.

Just had a brain itch. Wanted to see how this would look mechanically. Not set on the colors. Mardu is known for its aggressiveness, but not quite tied into Spirits as well as other pairings. Still, I think it's a cool deviation.
Feels like there should be one more piece in the set, not unlike Sword of Kaldra, Helm of Kaldra and Shield of Kaldra. Maybe the last piece can be in to finish the five colors?

Make the creature a Shade, if you're unhappy with Spirits. If the black one is the only one that brings back a creature, and it's named Reflection of Shadows, Shade would fit a lot better.
A set of scales for the third piece? Like a Lady Justitia kind of setup; a sword, scales and some sort of blindfold?

For reflection of shadows:
"Whenever equipped nontoken creature you control dies, if it was destroyed by a spell, ability or permanent an opponent controls you may exile the creature with a soul counter on it."
If you only check for destroy effect this won't take into account sacrifice. You may be better off just checking if you didn't sacrifice it as part of a cost or effect from a spell or ability you control.
Yes, this means that that you could potentially Doom Blade your own creature however I think you'll have an easier time just catching the case you don't want, rather than all the cases you do. That being said it also feels black enough as an ability that it could proc off you sacrificing creatures too.

If you've got a mask and a sword, how about a robe?
