The Ocean's Child - Help appreciated

So I was browsing DeviantArt and I found this. She's very costly but clears the board and provides a decent finisher. I tried to make this as balanced as possible by not giving her protection also. Notice that the land part is IN ADDITION TO IT'S OTHER TYPES. Not a Blood Moon effect, more like a Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth-type effect. So what do you guys think? Too strong or too weak?
Thanks for looking!!
She should read all other non-land permanents are islands

May be a personal thing, but I feel like she could use a name. Like [Name], the Ocean's Child.

I agree with JDMCRIB, she should definitely have a name. Otherwise I think this is a really cool concept! It's strong but manageable.

Yeah, she seems balanced enough, besides not saying all "other" permanents are islands, lol. Although there should be spacing between that ability and the Urborg-like effect.

If this existed then mono blue devotion could be a thing in modern.

It would make all of your permanents islands too, and they have no mana symbols. So no, this doesn't really fit in devotion despite its mana cost and Island synergy.

Leafbladefighter I did originally have that idea in mind, but as JDMCRIB pointed out, it doesn't really work. I don't really see any deck in which this could fit, it's really just something that popped into my mind.
ducttapedeckbox and JDMCRIB Haha you guys now have proof of my laziness. Any ideas for a name?

It could fit in a control sideboard against decks that aren't blue, but that mana cost is still restrictive. Or even a mono-blue control wincon, but it still has no evasion.
As for a name, I think Aislyn, the Ocean's Child sounds pretty sweet. But it can be whatever I suppose, as long as it's feminine.

JDMCRIB: Islandwalk, all lands are islands in addition to their other types. No evasion, huh?

I meant spot-removal wise. It'd suck getting all those blue lands and casting her, just to have her get Path to Exiled or Combusted a turn later.

JDMCRIB True, which was done on purpose. Otherwise it would be a one-sided boardwipe and you get a finisher.

This ends up being a Humility on legs of sorts. Your opponent gets access to more mana, but its essentially more debilitating than Humility. And, it doesn't need Islandwalk if everything else on the field is an island. Only manlands can block her.
I like the flavor but it should probably just be a trigger not a static ability. As is too OP.

lothshteth Islandwalk is just there for flavor. And what do you mean by a trigger?

Like an enter the battlefield trigger. It would have to do something like place counters on the permanents to signify its effect. That way it only wipes what is already on the field, and doesn't lock the game out for those who don't have removal. It would be messy, but as a static ability its cmc needs to be way higher.

I think its CMC is fine. It's low enough to be playable, but restrictive enough not to make it availible to every deck; just mono-blue, or one with a minor splash. And I feel like "all other things are islands" thing I'd reasonable because, if they were counters, then they would never revert back, even if she left the battlefield.

Exactly what JDMCRIB said. What you're proposing is probably more powerful because it clears the board AND gives you mana sources. This one all you need to do is remove it and there goes the investment, which explains the cost.

Lol, just realized that you could tap the permanents she turns into islands for mana (I feel dumb). This could actually work "sorta" well in a U Ramp deck. Just litter the board with 0-mana cost things, cast her, and ramp into an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn? Seems unlikely, but fun xD

Pretty interesting. board wipes pretty well, but it's not impossible at all to recover from. I wouldn't say it's too strong, but what do I know?
