I have found the most AWESOME asssassin type creature ever. The text is a bit long but it's the only card I've seen in ages that's actually good even though your opponent is making a choice.

Is this a selfinsert? A bit narcisitic, isn't it?

It's got a decent base. It could use a bit of work on the wording of the ability, but other than that it's an ok card.

Wording is terrible, and the card idea is pretty boring.

'Secretly name a card by writing down the name'

AKA: Choose a card

PS: Surely you just choose a ridiculously obscure card?

This is not my card. Not sure who the guy is I just saw one of his cars on the front page and then started looking through his collection.

Lets say you have these three creatures on your board:

Siege Rhino, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, Deathmist Raptor

When the other player taps the assassin they will write down one of those three creature names. Now you have to assess your own board state. In this case, at least if the guy has no other blockers anyways, Siege Rhino would have been the best choice, esepcially if you are at 4 or 5 lands. Knowing this though the guy might name Tasigur, the Golden Fang. He could even be cute and name Deathmist Raptor figuring you will guess he chose your Siege rhino or Tasigur becaues they deal more damage.

Now what happens if the person controlling the assassin names a card not even on the board? Nothing because to kill something it has to be named and you can't kill someething that's not in play.

Now what happens if the person controlling the assassin names a card in play but the siege rhino player names a card not in play? The Siege Rhino player WILL LOSE A CREATURE.

In other words the card is only effective if it's owner names a card in play and the opposing player can only save themselves by naming a card that's in play. It's mental magic but on the board. If you choose to get rid of their best threat every time they will catch on. Same for their median or lowest threats.

This is a complex card, nothing WOTC would print cause it would makes a game of figuring out your opponent. But in the most extreme way. Beginners would hate it and I'm sure highly competitive players wouldn't like the randomness it should result in because of their high level
