Yantae, The Faceless One

Notice how there is no stipulation about being indestructible or preventing combat damage on his +2?

Combat damage and burn WILL remove loyalty. It's such a powerful ability that I think we can all agree it needs that check to be in place.

I wanted the 0 to be a +1, but that is so very seriously powerful with tribal synergy that it's best to leave it alone.

I think we all needed a shapeshifter planeswalker in our lives. I applaud you, for stepping up. Great card. Good job keeping it's power in check.

Actually, I believe his +2 circumvents the loyalty issue as worded.

He becomes a copy of that creature until end of turn.

It does not say "in addition to his other types"

Meaning he is not a Planeswalker, therefore damage shouldn't remove loyalty.

Really want to run the ultimate Timmy deck now. God, I wish I had a group that was okay with custom commanders.

I'd run Yantae forever if that were the case.

Oooh I just thought of an amazingly unique way how Yantae's spark ignited!

And it's so obvious that it sounds remarkably stupid, yet ingenious at the same time.

Simply put, :)

Yantae took the form of a Planeswalker and did so with such immeasurable perfection that he copied their spark, as well.

I have issue with the card art.

You see,

He has a face.

The form he is taking does ;)

He, himself (if he is even a he) does not

My joke was still funny.

I wonder who he (or she, or it) is copying?
