You can be as powerful as you want... but that won't stop you from dying

Yay, another card :) I love doing this.

Pretty much what it looks like. Heavy black devotion, and it can work on your creature (to make it increasingly powerful for a couple turns) or your opponent's (to kill it very quickly). What do you guys think?

Thanks for looking!!

I would change 'infection' counter to something else because it sounds too much like infect counters.

ShamaLamaDingDong Yeah I was actually thinking about that. Any ideas?

One potential problem I can see here is that if you want to actually benefit from the switch, probably by attacking or blocking, your creature would need at least 5 toughness to even participate in one combat, regardless of what you were doing. The effect is hardly worth the cost in most cases, even for the devotion, especially because the enchantment would go away when the creature inevitably dies.

See accelerando11, I was thinking of Phyrexian Obliterator when I made this card. It works perfectly: at a 9/1 (or 7/3), even for one combat, it will either be 9 damage to the face (ouch) your opponent sacrificing most of his entire board. Most times, your opponent will let it go through, but as a finisher, he will have to block, and that will likely clear most of his board. The reason that this is so expensive is that it can be used on any creature on the board effectively, hits indestructible, and can really obliterate an unsuspecting opponent.

There's also the fact that it's uncommon, not rare. It's power level is pretty balanced.
