Hello there! I am a bit new to tappedout, but that's okay! This thread will be for what people think they would be if they were a planeswalker. (I will not be using my real name.)

Fricat, the Mana-Troubled

Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you gain 2 life.

+2 Add . Spend this mana only to cast creature spells.

-3 Target land becomes a 4/4 Sphinx with flying and vigilance. Sacrifice during your next upkeep.

-11 Add . You get an emblem with, "When you spend mana, you gain that much life, rounded up."

Starts with loyalty counters.

-3 : Sacrifice a creature and each opponent loses life equal to its power. Draw a card.

Coincidence the name matches the son of the Devil? XD

I only recognize it from the movie 'Constantine'. One of my favorites.

Wouldn't becoming a Priest though be a way to absolve the sin by giving your life to a different service? Never was a religious person myself, just going off different forms of media.

Thriving amidst chaos & at a mercenary attitude at times. I like to rattle a few cages here and there. Controlling the uncontrollable (others) is a self-defeating activity that leads to dissatisfaction & anxiety. Giving aide to others, but allowing them to evolve with a little push is the most satisfying agent of change in life.

Dancrys, Chaos Mercenary

Legendary Planeswalker - Dancrys

{Creatures attacking any opponent(s) with the greatest (or tied for greatest) number of nonland permanents receive +2/0 & haste until end of their controller's turn}

+1 Choose target player, all other players may reveal cards from the top of their libraries until they reveal a creature card. Players may put the revealed card onto the battlefield & shuffle the rest into the bottom of their libraries in a random order.

-5 You get an emblem with "whenever a spell or ability controlled by an opponent causes a permanent(s) to leave the battlefield you may reveal cards from the top your library until you reveal a permanent card that shares a card type with the permanent(s) leaving the battlefield, you may put the revealed card(s) into play, shuffle the rest into the bottom of your library in a random order"

Hello and welcome to TappedOut!

There was a similar thread some time ago and this was my entry back then (no reason to change).

-3 Destroy target creature or artifact or return target creature or artifact from your graveyard to the battlefield.

-8 Return all creatures and artifacts from your graveyard to the battlefield, than each opponent loses X life and you gain X life, where X is the number of creatures and artifacts you control.

Starting Loyalty 1

Transformed State

Sergio, the Enlightened

+1 You may sacrifice a Mystery, if you do, you draw a card and lose 1 life

0 Create a Mystery Token

-1 Until your next turn, Mysteries you control have "Sacrifice this permanent: Destroy target creature or planeswalker"

FYI: Mystery Tokens would also be a set theme in this context and actually have the "Enchantment" card type.

I do love to debate and play the devils advocate. In the words of the WotC design tea poster: "I(We) believe vigorous and constructive disagreement is the best way towards progress." Or something close to that.

Cire, Debater of Lost Points (2)WUG Whenever an opponent casts a spell, if you have more cards in hand than that player, counter that spell unless that player pays (1)

+1 - Until the end of your next turn, whenever you draw a card you pay pay (1), if you do draw a card.

Noire, Avid Historian

+2 You may sacrifice a creature. If you do, draw a card.

-2 You may sacrifice a creature. If you do, return target another creature from the graveyard to the battlefield. It gains haste until end of turn.

-10 Return all creatures from your graveyard to the battlefield. They gain haste until end of turn.

Noire, Avid Historian can be your commander.

The card is built around my playstyle, but has the colors I identify with (in a not very serious, I just like having symbols to represent me and don't actually put much stock in it, kinda way). I like playing aristocrats. I like good-aligned Necromancers in any media. I love learning about history. So I combined them- he's a Planeswalking historian who learned how to revive the dead so he can ask them what happened himself, rather than guess.

And he can be a commander because EDH is the only format I really play.

I've been tinkering with this mentally for some time now, most as Un-card creations. Since I have no clearly defined playstyle, I can go with a most recent iteration. This is my newest take, centered around the mutate mechanic from Ikoria/C20

My Card Show

The idea is a planeswalker who can morph different parts of their body into those of creatures they encounter. They can be a Brushwagg Nightmare Squirrel if they wanted to. The creature types listed above on the 0 ability is to tie the card more to Ikoria. I wanted to fit in an ability where a mutate creature triggers its mutate effects on ETB, and counting it as a mutate (So Insatiable Hemophage triggers when it ETBs, draining an opponent for one, for example). I also wanted to make the +1 add a mutate card from exile, but that might make it stupid broken.

Of all of the mechanics in the game, mutate is the one that really captures what I want to do (Host/Augment is another, if Un-mander is allowed).

Ooh! I really like that walker. I REALLY like giving indestructible counter to something... Though it could actually just be TARGET PERMANENT (lands included).

April 15, 2020 8:38 a.m.

So the thread really got me thinking, I love it and carefully read all the iterations so far. Tank you for that!

I went over the colors' values & identities for the billionth time... :) I'm someone who naturally protects people, even if I have nothing to gain from it. I usually play the devil's advocate in debates, defending point of views that aren't mine just 'to see what it's like'. I often have unexplained mood swings, I'm constantly torn between what I want to do and what I must do, constantly switching between 'the world is beautiful' and 'the world is shit'. I value freedom of will, humor, equality and loyalty above everything else.

Therefore, I clearly think I'm a mix of Red and White - funny enough, these are colors I've played the most since I started Magic. So I came up with this:

Delas, Fierce Protector

Legendary Planeswalker - Delas

+3 : Until the end of your next turn, creatures target player control must attack you if able. You gain 1 life for each creature you control.

-2 : Delas deals 3 damage to any target. If a creature dealt damage this way would die this turn, exile it instead.

-X : Target permanent you control with converted mana X gains hexproof and indestructible until end of turn. Delas deals X damage to any target and you gain X life.

Nice, a good Boros walker. Seems in line with guardian quality tempered with some loyalty and value in equality. I figure some of my love for anarchy is more in line with . Is that a solid conclusion with your color I'D study?

April 16, 2020 11:05 p.m.

I debated it too. The thing is Green states that there is a natural order that you must accept. Nothing should be allowed to alter its course. Though I believe everything is written somehow and where you'll end up is naturally where you're heading, my point of view is that the world can be changed through your actions, not because 'it was meant to be changed'.

Also, I am not for anarchy as such. I think we, as a society, need rules to insure we can live all together decently. I'm not a super organized person myself but I think it's a necessary evil for the greater good. White wants all the individuals of a group to be treated the same way with the same chances and this is a thought I totally agree with. Also, values such as loyalty, community, charity and honor are extremely important to me.

The Red side of my personality is more the idea that you should be allowed to do what you want whenever you want because it's your life, your time, so your decision. I tend to be blunt when expressing my ideas and going straight to the point. Life is a game, just play long! It's directly in conflit with the White's need for rules and structure, but going all-in in one of those two directions isn't ideal to me, so I had to mix them :)

Yeah, I'd say I am more solidly then. I am typically pretty hands-off about things, let things evolve after an initial push for better or for worse. I'm less likely to provide continued guidance.. more likely to relish watching the strong survive against all odds. I enjoy the exceptions to the rules & when I am proven wrong. I am community tolerant, but rarely participatory, usually severely annoyed when regulations are imposed on the whole because bad eggs will be bad eggs. Loyalty & duty typically have gotten me nowhere compared to stubbornness & self-preservation. (not to say I don't believe helping others) I will definitely fend for my family, I also have a career that involves helping others, which I do well. But a big part of my career is that you give initial guidance to allow for individuals to evolve or "sink or swim"... too much reliance will hurt people in the long run. These of course are personal traits, there is no right or wrong here.
