I personally feel that the first ability is too powerful; if it either increased Zar-Kul's loyalty by 1 or created only a single token, it would be better balanced.
The second ability should cost 2 loyalty, in my mind, so that Zar-Kul's controller cannot use it as many as five times upon summoning him.
The third ability is quite nice as it is, but is there a reason for why this character has such a focus on black and colorless creatures? Are they connected with Phyrexia, in any way?
