A Cheaper Treehouse, Please Help

I'm trying to make a revamped edition of Brian Kibler's deck, Treehouse Doran. The thing i'm trying to do here is basically make this deck Cheaper, keep it Modern Legal, and try to keep all the Effectiveness that i can. I'd very much so appreciate any help i can get :)

Please keep in mind that i'm not extremely cheap, so i don't mind the occasional expensive card, i just don't want this deck being $1000 like it Brian's original version is.

I think the main thing racking up the price right now is the Land base. If i can get help with that, i'd be incredibly grateful.
