A good use for the Leveler

I'm trying to build a deck that uses the combo Shared Fate
+ Leveler
+ Misthollow Griffin
.
I figured out a heavy WU control... Suggestions?

Problem with Misthollow Griffin and Shared Fate is: the cards are being exiled face down, thus you can't know what they are and therefore are not able/allowed to cast them.

The Shared Fate just locks your opponent out of drawing cards. The effect of Leveler is what would be used to exile the Misthollow Griffin in the first place.

RussischerZar Shared Fate allows you to look at and play cards it exiles as though they were in your hand

Yeah but you still couldn't cast it since only your opponent is allowed to look at it :P

"Each player may look at and play cards he or she exiled with Shared Fate."
The 'combo' above wanted to cast the Misthollow Griffin his opponent is going to exile, which doesn't work. It works with the Leveler though.

Yeah, I see the way it works now. Misread it at first. Damn lack of sleep lol

I have a love for Leveler , but never found a way to use it with what I own. I only recently included it in an EDH/Commander deck more for deck flavor than anything (The deck has a sub-focus on cheap big guys with draw backs, like Iwamori of the Open Fist )
Solitary Confinement is a nifty way to try an avoid drawing a loss, as well as the above mentioned Laboratory Maniac . Lightning Greaves could be used to Haste up the Leveler for the attack right away, and Double Cleave could turn it into a finishing blow.
Just some thoughts...

I don't know about Laboratory Maniac : I'm unable to draw with Shared Fate on the field...

I imagine Laboratory Maniac being a 1-2 of as a back up plan. Running Blue, you're going to most likely have efficient card drawing, but in the case that you don't draw into Shared Fate or it's dealt with (opponent had an Oblivion Ring in hand the whole time!). Then the Maniac can force the win with Leveler . Either draw next turn, or see my assumption that you have nice card draw in your blue :D. Of course, I'm focusing almost entirely on the Leveler and not the Shared Fate .
Obviously you'll be using the Misthollow Griffin s you exile with Leveler as your beaters along side the machine. However in the case you need answers and all you have is what you're exiling from you opponent's deck, you might want someway to create other colors of mana. Or, you can cheat and use Celestial Dawn so you can cast whatever you want.

Celestial Dawn is really good! And I've been suggested to use Rest in Peace to recicle my Griffins.

I have a self-mill deck starring a leveler: Self-Mill Maniac

Oh, that's a good one; I didn't think of that! Rest in Peace sits in the "sideboard" section of my thinking but mainboard in this works very well!

3 Laboratory Maniac
2 Leveler
4 Misthollow Griffin
4 Shared Fate
2 Rest in Peace
4 Fabricate
2 Idyllic Tutor
2 Supreme Verdict
2 Cryptic Command
4 Mana Leak
2 Remand
3 Path to Exile
2 Spell Pierce
24 Lands
How does this look like?

Don't forget the alternate win condition of Laboratory Maniac .
